Mini Quilts and More!

Hello and happy November! I know I have been saying this every month lately, but I really can't believe how fast this year is flying by!  I'm finally unpacked from Quilt Market and am really ready to start sewing (I'll have some Quilt Market posts up beginning later this week).

Today is parade day, and this month's parade features a pattern with a unique

twist on some classic blocks.  The "Mini Dashing" quilt pattern is by Corey Yoder and is a lot of fun.  Our first version of this pattern is this fun Halloween mini above by Brenda of The Quilting Nook...such a fun use of the bright Halloween color palette!

Brenda also made a Christmas version of this pattern using a variety of scraps...I love this version as well!

You can see some more Mini quilts over at Michele's blog, Island Life Quilts today...be sure to stop over!

We thought it would be really fun to have a Christmas project to work on for November, so we chose the Vintage Holiday Mini pattern by Camille Roskelley of Thimbleblossoms (pattern available in PDF here or paper here). This will be a fun project to work on during this busy month...and as a bonus you could also make some of the cute Christmas ornaments!

And...anyone who participates in our December parade will receive the project for our January parade for free...just a little incentive to sew along.  We really appreciate everyone who participates each month!

If you're participating in the Log Cabin Christmas quilt along I'll have my next post in that series up next Tuesday...and if you have any questions about it in the meantime please feel free to email me!

Happy quilting...and thanks so much for stopping by!

Such a cute little quilt. And it looks great in the Christmas Colors too. Okay, after you relax for a bit tell us all about Quilt Market. It must have been quite fun and inspiring.

I love that Brenda made two versions and that she used holiday fabrics in both of them! I’m sooo looking forward to starting Vintage Holiday Mini!
