This week is going to be busy, so it's even more important that I keep track of
the most important things for me to work on. While I have a big deadline project this week, it's also important to me to keep working on "fun" things too. And you know I've been wanting to get my pineapple quilt finished up before summer! Since I would really like to get the remaining seven blocks finished up as soon as possible, I've given myself just a portion to do this week.
Although I generally plan first on a monthly basis, lately I've been doing most of my sewing and quilting planning on a weekly basis because it just seems to work for me. Sometimes I get more accomplished than I think I will (and sometimes less), so re-evaluating more frequently keeps me in check.
In the past I have just kept notes on a calendar or notepad, but then I got the idea to make a weekly sheet for my organizing, and my daughter Chelsi made it cute for me!
You can see from looking at my list that I've kept the list pretty compact this week. Number two of my sewing/quilting goals for the week is a magazine project with a looming deadline. It will take most of my time...or at least I feel like it needs to get finished first. So I don't have as many projects listed in that category as I might have another week.
As far as organizing goes this week, I'll be doing well to sort one of my storage bins. But I do want to finish sorting my Creekside scraps and trim about 50 more of the hst's I talked about last week. These are both projects I can do while watching Fixer Upper episodes I keep on the DVR!
Finally, I want to make all of the hst's for my remaining pineapple blocks which led me to make this fabric pull the other evening! Some of the pieces and scraps are left over from my Pineapple mini quilt, but I pulled more from the stash to go along with those!
So...here's hoping you have a wonderful Wednesday and an organized jump start to your current projects. You can download the PDF for my organizing sheet--hope it helps a little...I know it's really been working for me!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
