Shine...A New Pattern

I'm excited to share my latest pattern, Shine! This one has been in the works for a little while...the Ohio Star is one of my favorite quilt blocks, but I wanted to add a couple of twists to the design. I wanted a lot of light space to let the fabrics shine, but I also used a secondary background fabric for interest.

Shine got to go on a road trip this past weekend to the mountains for a pattern cover shoot with my friend Korindi who is an amazing photographer.

Shine uses 10 fat quarters (you can add more for interest), 1/2 yard of a secondary background fabric (I used the aqua dot from Happy Go Lucky for my secondary background), and 3 yards of background for the quilt front. I used fat quarters from Scrumptious for the blocks.

I've been having everything quilted with the Baptist Fan quilt design lately...and I knew it would be perfect for this quilt too! This is one of my favorite quilts ever...and it's a terrific size at 60" x 74".

Sorry for the photo overload...but I really like this one!

As I have with my previous new pattern releases, I'm offering PDF and paper pattern copies of Shine for just $5 in my Etsy shop here through Sunday evening, August 11th. Paper copies will ship next week.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

What a beauty!!! I just have to have this pattern to add to my many others. This pattern isn't going have time to get dusty as I'm already planning what fabric to use for this quilt. Pam from Canada

This is very nice! I really love the scrappy effect achieved with all the FQs, but the uniform 2nd background keeps it still feeling calm and unified.

Could it work with fat eighths? I've got a fat eighth pack burning a hole in my pocket.
