Hello, friends! Today I’m happy to be able to share my recently published Christmas Cheer Fat Eighth quilt. This quilt appears now in the Winter 2026 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting! My good friend Nancy Lane and I were invited to make fat eighth quilts with my Poinsettia & Pear collection (by Sherri & Chelsi for Moda Fabrics). It was so much fun coming up with design ideas, and once I knew some of the basics of Nancy’s ideas, I was free to work up something different.

Christmas Cheer + Joyful Tidings Quilt Details
My goal was to make a quilt that really utilized all of the prints in Poinsettia & Pear but that would also work for scraps and any favorite collection. The quilt finishes at 60 ½″ x 70 ½″ and is a fast and fun design. Although this would look great in any collection, I’m partial to it in our Poinsettia & Pear group. I also just realized while looking at the magazine, that Nancy’s quilt finishes at the exact same size. I love her mix of wreaths and stars! I’m thinking about making a table runner using the blocks from Nancy’s quilt. Her wreath block would also make a fun pillow.
