I finished blocks 9 -12 of my Scrappy Trip Around the World the other day. Now I need to gather more strips, fast.
Of course I had to look at all 12 together. I can't even describe how much I love this quilt. It's just so scrappy and so much fun! I can't wait to finish it, but at the same time I feel like I don't want to finish...it's so much fun to work on!
Some bindings from my marathon sewing afternoon on Wednesday. I probably should explain that I would never have finished up so many things had I been at home. I was sewing with some friends, and I was completely amazed at how much one can get done when the phone isn't ringing and you aren't doing laundry and dishes between sewing tasks.
Also, I need to congratulate Michele who won the Kaffe fat quarters from the Canton Village Quilt Works giveaway! I'll be sending you an email, Michele!
Things have been a little crazy around here...I have 3 classes I'm preparing to teach at a retreat in a couple weeks, and I also have some pretty big deadlines with some quilts I can't share just yet. School also started this week, so now I have papers to grade to add into the mix. But I have a plan to be pretty much caught up by the time I head off to the retreat...so I'm looking forward to some good relaxation when I'm not teaching. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blocks look wonderful...it truly is amazing how much you get done at a retreat...it's wonderful when sewing is all you have to think about. You're so organized you'll get it all done!
Lovely! Love the blocks...and pretty bindings!
I was trying to stay off of the bandwagon, but I am starting to think I might have to join in.
Love your blocks - fabulous combination of scraps.
Lots on your plate but no doubt you'll get it all done.
The more I see of these blocks, the more convinced I need to make some!! I love everything scrappy!!
Your quilt is so pretty! I see 'boho' in your binding bundles. :) Now I'm wondering what you are making using that line.
I never go to retreats because I figure I will spend all the time talking and looking at what others have brought.
I also wasn't going to join this one - but I can't resist much longer! Looking beautiful yours :)
My resolve is beginning to crumble - these are so pretty...
Still loving it! OK.. Why are you grading papers????
Yours looks really good. I don't get much time to ssew on mine. But I will be so happy when I get mine finished so I can figure out the backing and bindings and then have a real quilt to show for all my hard work
Love the scrappy quilt. I need to get started on one, but I am doing so many different projects, I just don't know how I can start one more.
I can't believe everyone is making this quilt. Wait until you see the cover of April's APQ. And I thought I was the only one making this quilt!
It is looking fantastic! It is always fun to sew with other people. We all seem to keep each other "on task"!
Have fun on your retreat. Those scrappy blocks are pretty tempting! Love yours!
You Around the world looks wonderful! I am almost clear to start mine...one binding left to stitch down and I am there!!
