Millie's Closet

Recently a fun package from my friend Lori arrived on my doorstep...the gorgeous fabrics above are from Lori's latest fabric collection, Millie's Closet.

I have to back up a little, though...the fabrics arrived beautifully packaged in the handiest mesh zipper bag. Since it was bound in fabric from Millie's Closet I knew Lori had made it...she'll have a tutorial to make one coming soon! Be sure to stop by her blog for the instructions to make one!

I can think of so many uses for this nifty bag...thanks so much Lori!

Lori also sent along her new patterns (her new patterns are available here).  I don't think she's shared them all on her blog yet, so I'll just share a few. First up, pictured above is "Sew Day." It's first on my list to make.  How cute are the pieced sewing machines?!!!

Her "Tulips" pattern is a lot of fun to make (I got to piece the sample for the Riley Blake booth for market)!

Another quilt I pieced for market was Lori's "Spoolin' Around" quilt...again...such a fun quilt. Lori did the applique on the spools, and I pieced the blocks and set everything together.  I've already blogged a little about this quilt--to see a couple of close-ups go here.

Now I've got some cutting to do...

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a wonderful day!

Oh how cute! :o) I just loved Lori's tutorial, heading to my laundry room now to get a couple of my garment bags. What a pretty way to dress them up while washing my delicates. :o)
Have a great week! :o)

What a wonderful post! I went browsing Lori's blog and saw all of her new patterns and really fell for the Millie's Dresses. I went online immediately to FQS and got what I needed to get started on it. Thanks for the heads up!

I love the mesh bag, too! I bought a fat quarter pack of that line at Market. Haven't decided what I'll do with it yet, but I love it. I do love that sewing machine pattern, too!
