I am so excited about being able to participate in my very first quilting bee! It's such a wonderful group...I truly feel honored to be able to take part! And we have the absolute cutest button and blog design by Shari! Even though I'm brand-new to this...I got to go first!
I cut into my precious stack of Happy Mochi Yum Yum and sent everyone two fat eighths and some background fabric. I've been wanting to make a fun sampler quilt with these fabrics since last spring, so this seemed like the perfect time to use it!
I gave a few ideas for inspiration...and have received my first two blocks! (Did I mention how fun it is to get quilt blocks in the mail?)! The first block I received was from Nedra who made a beautiful Greek Cross block...love this!
Next I received Trish's block, also a Greek Cross. Trish added in some Lakehouse gingham which I love! And...she sent the cutest tissue holder made with some of the left-overs!
I love both of these blocks...and I've seen a third one on-line already that I can't wait to share with you!
I know I'm going to love this Bee!

Those are great. How fun that you got involved in a bee. Ever since I read Block Party, I've been fascinated with the thought of joining (or starting) one.
That is going to be such a fun quilt!
