Keeping Christmas Traditions
I realize things have been a little quiet here on the blog--I've been trying to finish up gifts...keeping my Christmas tradition of sewing up until the very last possible moment.
This morning I got up a little early to do some machine quilting on this mini tumbler table topper. I'm getting ready to put the binding on this afternoon!
I've also been making some compostition book covers. My Sweetwater Label Crew project arrived the other day, and I couldn't stop at making just one book cover from their cute pattern. The notebook cover on the left is from Hometown, and the one on the right is from Reunion, both fabric lines by Sweetwater for Moda.
The pattern is great...it fits the composition books perfectly.
I wonder how many more of these I can make before Saturday?
Thanks so much for stopping by...hope you are getting things checked off your list, too!

Your projects look fabulous! I've made some composition book covers (different pattern). They are great and make wonderful gifts. I keep one by my sewing machine where I put all the settings I use for different applications. Very handy to use and so cute to look at.
Lovely gifts...I have some things yet to finish...aargh! Have a great Christmas!
HERMOSOS REGALOS!!
FELIZ NAVIDAD!!!!
I am also making last minute
Christmas gifts. I love making composition book covers, your gifts are wonderful. Have a great Christmas.
Glad to see I'm not the only one sewing up to the last minute Sherri! Cute stuff you're making!
I got mine in the mail and can't wait to make them. It's at the top of my list for 2012!
Cute projects Sherri! I love your tumbler quilt.
Wishing you a merry Christmas!
Amber
I love those book covers. Very cute. I have finished up my sewing until after Christmas. I quilted up several tops in the last few weeks and I am quilted out.
Those book covers turned out so great. Hope your Christmas is Merry! I love to be sewing something on Christmas Eve. But nothing this year.
Beautiful gifts. The recipients will surely feel loved.
Oooh, I wish I could find a quick tutorial for those book covers. I tried to follow one I saw online, but then gave up on it. If anyone out there knows of one, my email is: nbtaylor57@gmail.com. I know it's rather late, but I would so appreciate it. Also, thanks for the lovely tour of your sewing room. It's really cute!
Ooops! I meant to thank Amber for the tour of her sewing room. Sorry.
on my way over to steal the tumbler runner! LOVE it!!!!
Love the comp book cover!
Those notebook covers are SO cute, Sherry. I have a bunch of last minute sewing to do myself - like 2 Jedi robes. :) For some reason I'm less excited about them than finishing my Christmas quilt.
That's a really great gift idea! All my local grandchildren (oldest is 3 and 1/2) like having their own 'journal' to write in. This is a really good idea to make for them. And for their mom's for the recipes they keep asking for.
Awesome projects, Sherri! You always inspire me. I've been wanting to make a tumbler block quilt and your reproduction version has inspired me to get going (a New Year's resolution project, for sure). Thanks for a great year of blogging. Happy Holidays!

Great project you make :-)
Have a great Christmastime
Cute stuff! I have SO MUCH sewing I need to do and instead I'm sitting here farting around on the web. I hope I can get all mine done. I love these notebook covers. I just ordered the pattern. I'd like to get the labels, too, but they seem to be out. Thanks for the link to a place that makes nice labels. I have needed some in the past and have had trouble finding someone to do it. Merry Christmas to you!
Could you tell me the name of the pattern for the composition covers and where you found it? The covers are just darling. Hope your Christmas was merry!
