December? Already!

The days, weeks, and months have been speeding by--here in southern Nevada our gorgeous fall turned cold and blustery almost overnight! Along with the change in the weather came the first day of December.  I've always loved December 1st...seems I can really start preparing for Christmas then!

So...I've been sewing with Christmas fabrics, and making hexagons using every last scrap of my 12 Days of Christmas stash. I think this is my favorite Christmas line ever; it's one of those collections that just makes you happy as you sew with it! I'm hoping to get a lot of sewing in this weekend and check a few things off my list while I'm at it!

Thanks for stopping by...hope you're getting lots of holiday sewing in now, too!

It is a lovely fabric, but then I like most things Kate Spain. I have a panel of 12 Days of Christmas which I plan to cut up and make into a wall hanging.... it will have to be next year now as I don't think I will get it done in three weeks!!!!!

Weird to hear of blustery weather in southern Nevada. At least you know you'll get lots of sunshine to help warm up.

Love love love your Christmas hexagons! These are so fun to make, I'm hoping to do a mini or mug rug using hexagons. You've inspired me!

I'm a big fan of the 12 days collection, too! I haven't seen a project from that group that I haven't liked. I went nuts last year, grabbing charm packs and bits of yardage here and there, and I've been carefully parsing it all out for projects through the year. Your hexies are too cute!

I am usually not a fan of seasonal fabrics but these are beautiful, can't wait to see what you do with the hexies :-)

I love this line too! I've a whole FQ bundle which I'm saving for a very special project sometime.

I like this Christmas line of fabrics, too. It's refreshing to see a lovely blue amidst the reds and greens. The hexagons look wonderful and give the fabrics a chance to shine. A good start to the holiday season, I'd say. :-)

Lovin the hexes. I made a stocking last year out of hexes. It was for my new grand daughter. I may have to make another just because i love hexagons!

I really like your 12 Days fabric. I'm on the lookout for it. Have resisted hexies for nearly a year now, and still intend to, but I sure like the looks of yours! What good use of a pretty line of scraps.
