Slow but Steady

Progress on quilting stuff this week has been slow but steady; sometimes that's just how it has to be!  I'm really trying to savor any sewing moments I have during busy days and weeks.  I was really happy to get the scrappy binding machine stitched onto my Swoon quilt--seems that's the hardest part to accomplish.  Now I just need an excuse to sit down and watch some t.v., and I can get this quilt finished up.

Another block arrived this week from the FatQuarterShop Designer Mystery Block of the Month club--this month's block was designed by Anne, and I  had a lot of fun putting it together.

Once again I used my scraps from the FatQuarterShop block to make my Farmer's Wife blocks for the week, adding in just a couple of pieces from the scrap bin!

                                                       Block #48, Homeward Bound

                                                                Block #81, Snowball

                                                                   Block # 34, Flock

And the Flurry version blocks...

                                                                  Homeward Bound

                                                                            Snowball

                                                                            Flock

I have 36 blocks in each set now...think some whole group photos might be in order soon!

This amazing fabric (Veranda by Amanda Murphy) arrived on my doorstep recently; it was a complete surprise and so much fun to receive.  There is also some to give away...details on that coming soon!

Finally, you can get 30% off your entire purchase at SewObsessed using the coupon code SEPTEMBER (sale ends today)!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I wouldn't use the word SLOW in the description of your progress! You finished a LOT!

Beautiful blocks!

I recently bought some binding clips and I love them, so much better than getting stuck with pins

Your blocks are lovely Sherri. I am just about to sew a scrappy binding onto my swoon quilt, I can't wait to sit and sew the binding. I do that in the evenings when we are watching tele. Have a great day.
