Handwork...I love it...it just seems to be so relaxing. I finished binding a quilt today and then was able to make a few hexies and applique a Dresden that has been sitting unfinished for a little while. Whenever I get a chance to do handwork I always wonder why I don't make the time to do more--I really do enjoy it!
My June issue of American Patchwork & Quilting came today--this is my favorite quilting magazine...sometimes I'll save it for a couple of days just because I know it will be a couple months before the next issue arrives. But today I opened it right up to read the article, "The Quilting Tradition of Making Do." I really recommend this article--I love the history and tradition of our art, and this was such an interesting read. Additionally, the article features Pam Buda who designed the "Endless Summer" pattern for yesterday's parade! Pam's blog is a delight to read as well!
Pam sent along some of her patterns for our winners today...these look like a lot of fun! From Sinta's parade Edith will get a set of patterns...
And from my parade Amanda will also get a set. Thank you so much Pam!
Carol from my parade.
Sandie from my parade.
Quilter's Paradise is donating a $15 gift certificate to Leah. Congratulations to everyone...I'll be back soon with some weekend sewing and my stash report!
