It's International Quilt Market time, and that means Blogger's Quilt Festival time too! Amy does a magnificent job putting on this great festival of quilts and their stories.
This time around I decided to enter a quilt I just finished today! This is my American Jane quilt made with Snippets and a Happy Camper binding. The pattern is Confetti Cake by Margot of The Pattern Basket. This first photo really captures the bright colors of the fabrics.
Confetti Cake is a large quilt, so the best place to get a full picture was outside.
And of course it has a scrappy back (like most of my quilts)!
I didn't start looking for binding until after quilting--I was unable to find any Snippets around, but this great print from Happy Camper matched perfectly!
I started this quilt over a year ago and don't know why it took me so long to get it finished (well, actually it was hidden for a while at the bottom of the "to be quilted" pile). It just goes to show that it's never too late to finish up a work in progress!
Head on over to Amy's and enjoy the rest of the quilt entries! Have a wonderful weekend!

A very sweet, happy and beautiful quilt! Love the fabrics!
What a perfect pattern for that fabric--love it! I have a huge collection of American Jane fabrics--I don't know why I haven't used any yet! I met Sandy this Summer at a quilt show and she said that was fine as long as I kept collecting the fabrics lolol!!!

Very cute. Definitely has the "awww" factor for me!
Oh yes...Oh yes....I have this pattern soooo you know I LOVE it!!!
Especially the American Jane you used. I kind of like the brown in the photo I have instead of the white...but I stalled because of the brown I used in my butterfly blocks...????..LOL...I'll decide one of these days!!
Seeing yours all 'gussy-uped' inspires me!!!
Lovely quilt! You're right...never too late to finish one up. Now...if I could only do the same ;)

What a cool quilt! How wonderful to finish this one today just in time for the Festival. I love the bright colors and fun pattern. Looks like it was a fun one to work on.
Totally love your quilt.
Well, it's not like you've been sitting around, watching soap operas and eating chocolate for the last 12 months, you have accomplished quite a bit between the time you started and finished this beautiful quilt. I think the binding was a good choice, it looks great.
Congratulations!
this pattern reminds me of your Granny Squares project.
I love American Jane - such a cheerful set of prints! Thanks for sharing!!

Scrappy quilts are my favorite, and yours is a beauty!
love the quilt Sherri. I still have family here this weekend for a visit. I AM going to catch up Sunday (affirming that for myself) and email you about 'stuff'.
I love it, Sherri! I have to put that pattern on my list to make. It is just so colorful in those fabrics and I think the binding is perfect!
Love it! It has that "old-timey quilt" look that I love. Great job!
Your quilt is beautiful! Love the fabrics and scrappiness of the quilt...great job! Thanks for sharing
This looks likes Granny Squares in American Jane fabrics - and those two concepts together really rock! Love the look of this one a whole lot.
And finishing a quilt after letting it "simmer" for a while is always satisfying. As Emeril Lagasse would say, it gives it time for the "ingredients" to "get happy".
Gorgeous....well worth the wait to finish. Beautiful job!
I love this, Sherri! Thanks for sharing....
Sherri, this is such an amazing quilt! Just looking at all that piecing makes me giddy...
Truly inspiring :)

You have quite an eye when it comes to putting colors together.
Just beautiful!
It is a lovely entry.
Thats a lot of fun looking fabrics you've got going there.
Ooh, I love this pattern but I've been kinda hesitant with all of those teeny squares. IT looks awesome! I love that it looks like crochet granny squares!
Wow .... lovely!
Wonderful quilt! The pattern and the fabrics work so well together.
that quilt was wonderful. someone said like granny squares? I think it drew me because it was like a "comfort food". Familiar and just what you want to wrap up in.
