More Bliss...

Several months ago I won a fun giveaway from Margot of The Pattern Basket.  Not only did I receive the most wonderful Moda ribbon heart handmade by her, but I also received several of her patterns.  One in particular I've been saving to use with Bliss, and even though cutting out a few projects was the only thing I was supposed to be doing Saturday...I managed to stitch up a few blocks!

The pattern is "Sugar Twist," and it's fun and easy to sew!  The pattern calls for a Layer Cake; however, it can easily be made with Jelly Roll strips or from part of a fat eighth or fat quarter bundle.

I have the rest of the blocks cut, coordinated, and ready to sew...safely stored in a Costco strawberry container (thanks again for the idea Rae Ann)! Oh...and I can't wait...I just got an e-mail that this book (Simplify with Camille Roskelley: Quilts for the Modern Home (Stash Books)) will be shipping to me this week....I'm soo looking forward to reading it!

I cut into my Bliss for the first time today. Love this line! And didn't Rae Ann's post cause a stir? I love her idea and have begun to collect plastic boxes now myself.

I just ordered Bliss and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival this week. I'm not supposed to buying new fabric but I couldn't resist (again). Now that I see yours, I'm glad I did. Can't wait to see it all come together. Patty@sewingseedscraftylife

Yummy!!! Love that pattern, actually I love it that much that I already have it...:)
Together with bliss it's a perfect combination! I have to hurry to order some yardage before it's all gone ;)
Have you decided on the border fabrics yet? I bet one of the blue prints for the main border together with a red piping would be gorgeous - can't wait to see your take on it.

I saw something similar to this done as a border for a quilt, but in looking at the pattern here I see you would have to essentially place these on point along the strip to make it work. Or am I not visualizing this correctly?

Beautiful blocks! I really love those Bliss fabrics, and this is a great way to show them off. I love getting a bunch of projects cut out like that. Then you can sit down and piece the afternoon away! Looks like you were quite productive!

Isn't that a great pattern?! I just finished piecing it using the 'Blush' line. I love how it looks in the "Bliss" too. Can't wait to see yours all finished. I'm planning another with 30's fabrics. Love that Sugar Twist!

Love the pattern and love the Bliss. The more I see it, the more I want some. Not available at my local quilt shop so will have to order online. And the pattern as well.

Hi, me again. I loved the Sugar Twist pattern you are working up, I just went and bought it. The way you are doing it with that Bliss fabric really works for me. I have come back to visit your blog a few different times today. I'm composing "reblog" post of your post to show everyone how great your Sugar Twists look and how it inspired me to order the pattern. Okay if I do that and show your first photo on my blog? Thanks so much!
