Wednesday Things
Summer is flying by...I can't believe June is half over already...and with June came the arrival of the first block from FatQuarterShop's Designer Mystery Block of the Month...I really love this block and had to put it together the day it arrived...can't wait for number two! Yesterday's post over at the Jolly Jabber tells all about this block of the month...and they're having some fun contests right now to get this party started!
I've also been working on my "one flower Wednesday" project. These little flowers are the perfect take-along project. I cut one out each Wednesday and then put it in my purse to work on when I'm out and about...the one with the strawberries might be my favorite!
And I've been working on these cute little criss cross blocks...the third project from the Fig Tree Club. These blocks are really fun...I'm going to chain sew the rest, so they should go really fast...and they're fool proof...the criss crosses will end up "floating" so there won't be any chance of cutting off the corners...my kind of project for these lazy summer days!
Recently I found a new blog I love...and was honored when they asked to feature one of my quilts on their post today. Quiltstory shares different quilts from other bloggers and tells the story behind each one. I've been following along for a couple of weeks now and love reading about every quilt...thanks so much Heather and Megan for including me and for taking the time to share so many stories!

I love those sweet packages and your flowers are always pretty.
In a weak moment I ordered this 12 days of Christmas BOM the other day...it hasn't arrived yet but I can't wait to get going on it...
You're always up to something good!
PKM is right----you always have the best projects & fabrics. I love all of it!
BTW-I might just have to join your Hexi project :0)
Sweet blocks, all of them. I enjoyed your 'quilt story' when I followed your link. Stand up and take a bow! ~karen
Such pretty flowers! You are really making great progress!
Such fun pkgs., can't wait to follow the progress of this quilt... XO
Your fabrics for you flowers are just so sweet. I love them. Oh what fun to see the gardens growing!
I can't believe you got your block done already Sherri! I love your little hexie flowers!
Thanks so much for letting us feature your quilt! It's truly a pleasure :) Love all the projects you've been up to!
I can't believe we are in the middle of June already! So far, so good. I saw that mystery block of the month starting up - love your first block! And your flowers are coming out so pretty. I agree, those strawberries are the best. Nice job with your criss-cross blocks too. I made some cross blocks recently for a quilting bee, but I like the pattern you used better.
It was so fun to read about you on Quiltstory. And I love your GFG blocks. I think I'm ready to start another English Paper Piecing project. Never thought I'd say that after making a queen sized GFG.
Congratulations on being featured on Quiltstory. I cannot believe you finished that top in 24 hours. Amazing!
Excellent mystery block and pretty flowers. I love the strawberry one too!
The strawberry's are oké but the black and white one, beautiful
Sherri, you are always such an inspiration...
I love all your projects and your choice of colours,
but this weeks Hexies are so sweet!
I will go and check out your 'quiltstory' now...
:)
I think I like the strawberry flower the best also , not that the rest aren't pretty as they are but the strawberry flower is adorable. I love your package blocks as well , too cute

I love the BOM, super cute. and thank you for showing me a new blog. I love the quilt they used for your post. you have so many wonderful things I bet it was hard to pick just one!
Thanks for the Quiltstory tip, I loved your quilt and your story. I agree, scrappy Christmas Fabrics would be a good match for that pattern.
That first block of the FQS's BOM is adorable. If the second one is half as cute, I may have to succumb!
I need to put together a baggie of take-along hexies, great idea. THANKS!
WOW you have been sewing like mad. Love all your projects. I need to get to the machine and do some sewing myself.
