I've wanted a design wall for a long time...and just a couple of weeks ago found the perfect idea for me. (You can see Lori's amazing design wall (the inspiration for mine) and her wonderful studio here). Lori's idea was perfect because it was big enough to hold several blocks but not too big for my sewing room...and because I already had the thrift store frame in my garage. One can of primer, one can of spray paint...some batting from my stash...and I was finished! I smile every time I walk in and look at it! I'm going to make some other fun changes in my sewing room in the next few weeks...but for now...I'm just so happy to have this project completed!

What a cool idea! If only I had a spare wall...
What a great idea! And it is so cute too!
After I saw Lori's, I knew I had to make me one. Love yours and can't wait to see the changes your making.
What a great idea! It is like a piece of art (O:
Cute! Great idea and small enough for my space!
Hi Sherri,
great idea - it looks gorgeous in this beautiful shade of blue...it's a piece of art you surely love to look at. Using old (or new) frames as a base for pin boards wasn't new to me...but I really love the idea of making a (smaller) design wall...so thanks to Lori, too! Hmmm...I have an IKEA frame that would fit...I could glue some vintage buttons on it, too...thanks - as always - for inspiration ;o).
Funny coincident: I am just making a framed pin board for my sister's birthday (with a patchwork surface using TILDA fabrics) ;o).
Perfect and pretty. Mr. Creations did the same for my inspiration board above my desk. I love all of your blocks!!!
Just wonderful Sherri! Very, very cute!
That is a great idea and I may have to "borrow" it. I need a design wall so bad. It's a cute idea!
Love it! Great way to use that thrift frame, especially with such a pretty paint color. I bet this design wall is going to be used heavily in your house. So fun to have this to create all those beautiful quilts you make.
Fabulous, Sherri. I loved Lori's, too. I'm making changes in my sewing room, too. It needs a 'makeover'. :-)
Not only is your design wall fabulous but all the blocks on it are beautiful. Thanks for the idea!!
That's a whole lot of cuteness! I can see why this makes you smile!
What a cute design wall! Your blocks look like art. :-) Have a great weekend!
What a cute idea! I love it!! Off to find a big frame... lol
Well I can see why! I too have been wanting a design wall and just might have to move some things around AGAIN to fit this little idea into my room.
I love that!!!!
What a great idea for a design wall. Very functional!
Mary
that is such a great idea! I have a really ornate gold frame I'm going to paint white and turn into a chalkboard (not big enough for a design wall) but I'm definitely going down a larger frame at the thrift store for this project. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
It is very cute - love it!
I really like this idea. I have a full wall design wall but could really use a pretty place to show off some small block projects. Guess I get to go looking for a good used frame. ;)
A wonderful idea and very cute!!!
Absolutely beatful. Great idea. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs from Norway.
very cool!
I'm actually hosting a giveaway now if your interested ;)
Right now your design wall looks like framed art!
Great idea! I do have an old picture frame and now I know why I could not give it away...it is perfect for a mini design wall and I do not have one. Thanks for sharing.
It was beautiful!
Whenever I walk around here surpasses me with your beautiful work, I admire such perfection and creativity.
Quam inspired me and I know something similar for my craft room.
Hugs and good week

Very nice art work.
How big is the frame? It looks quite large. Good idea.
