I was super excited when I got the e-mail from Carolyn at Accuquilt asking if I'd like to receive a Go! Cutter to use and demo...but I had no idea until I used it how amazing this device is...I absolutely can't believe how fun and simple it is to use. It is accurate and much faster than using a rotary cutter--and because it's so easy and fun to use I'm really motivated to cut up my scraps so they're ready for projects!
The Go! Cutter is lightweight and takes up very little space. It also folds up easily for storage and travel. My family was kind of teasing me the day it arrived...because all I wanted to do was cut fabric!
First I cut my 12 Days of Christmas scraps into 5" charm squares...then I cut the scraps from that into 2 1/2" squares. From now on all of my 2 1/2" and 5" squares will be cut using the Go!Cutter!
Next, an Odyssea charm pack with 42 squares quickly became 21 three-inch circles which I then sewed to the remaining charm squares. I mixed in a few extra charm squares and now have a pretty good start on my circle quilt! The circle die is also perfect for making yo yo's...finished sizes of yo yo's for each size circle die are included on the package.

The alphabet! I would cut a zillion M & W and fuse them down on the back of all my quilts for labeling.
After all the cutting I did today (and nowhere near finished!) that looks like heaven! Like you, I love the look of circle quilts but I've been afraid to try it, so I would go for the circle cutters!
Congratulations. I'm sure you'll love your GO! I did enjoy seeing what you created with it and look forward to see what you create with the GO! in the future.

Oh you lucky girl! Your projects look great. I always thought the strip cuts would be great as well as tumblers or apple cores & drunkard's path dies. Have fun!

Very cool & quick with all the circles! Guess these would be my favorite as I have been cutting strips like a fool. Time for a change and I have just the project i mind.
Blazing stars and diamond ! Would be my dream diecuts, but my most usefull woudl be the square and the four trianglees. Since you asked! I only dream of the go cutter. Right now it is not in our budget. Oh well, I will enjoy them through the use of others by admiring there quilts. My friend amy and you must be that luckiest galls I have come across she also is testing one. It's great to know they want the oppinion of regular people! Have fun, can't wait to see what you do with all those circles!
I would definitely like the Go! Classic set containing the apple core and tumbler templates. It would speed up the process of cutting out those shapes!

Hi Sherri! Oh, you lucky girl! That's wonderful...! A cutter is definitely on my "if I had won the lottery" list *lol*. I would most certainly add the Apple Core die to the collection - I always wanted to make a scrappy AC quilt but I wanted it to be simple - the Go! cutter die is so cleverly designed - it has those markings to pin...

What dies I think would be the most FUN? The Funky Flower, the Round Flower and the Alphabet.
As far as what I'd NEED it would be the strip sets, the blocks, and the triangle.
Truly the least enjoyable part of quilting to me is cutting.
Love circle quilts! I think the rag die would be a life (and hand) saver :)

You mean we're supposed to pick ONE??? Well, besides the circle, probably the Go Applique cutter. Those pesky leaves would be SO much easier to cut with this. But it would be a toss up between the circles and applique cutters.

How very fun! LOVE the circle quilt! I think having the alphabet would be great, I'd do a whole quilt out of a bible verse. I think a dresden plate template die would be awesome too!

Wow! What a fun new toy you have! I would probably use the strip cutter set the most, followed by the squares. What a great way to recycle your scraps and have them ready for another quilt.

You're so lucky to get to tryout a GO! I wish I had it when I made my applecore quilt - 400+ of them cut with a rotary cutter template, and you can only cut two at a time ... It would be fun to make my own charm packs and jelly rolls too.
How exciting! Boy, cutting those circles out by hand would have taken a very long time. Sure is going to be another pretty quilt.

Eeeee, I'm so excited. I just got myself one yesterday too!! I REALLY want the rag die (5.5") and the apple core. The circle do intrigue me too....so maybe I'll put them on the list too :) If course, I want the drunkard's path too. Oh heck, I just want them all! I hope they come out with a smaller tumbler for the GO! as well. I HAD to get the big one yesterday :)

I think the heart and star die cutters would be so handy for applique since they are hard to cut out by hand. And the alphabet would also be great - especially for personalizing baby quilts!

Lucky you! I'm so envious! I saw one of these cutters in person at my quilting retreat and they are so slick! I love how easily they cut through multiple layers and unusual shapes that are hard to cut by hand.
Yaaayy! I'm so excited for you. I've thought about getting one for cutting 2 1/2" strips, but I'd probably never sew again and my family would find me buried under a mountain of strips.
The tumblers.... definately! I have seen a few tumbler quilts on blogs lately, and would really love to make one, but the thought of cutting them out stops me in my tracks.

Love the basic 5" square and 2 1/2" strip. I think they would be great! You are very luckly to get the "Go". Love all your work, you are very talented!
I didn't even know they had a circle die: I also have put off a circle quilt because I just didn't have the omph to cut them. I know I would want to cut 2 1/2" strips and triangles for hsts. I have also been looking at the tumbler block quilts and have been thinking of several different comfort quilt plans for them.
I would get the dresden plate and/or the drunkards path. For now I just drool...
Would love to have a GO. I am lucky in that I have a husband who does all of my cutting for me, but he would really love to have a Go I'm sure. The 5.5 square and the strips would be great.
I'm loving this. I have uses for 2 1/2 inch strips, 2 1/2 inch squares and half squares, and circles but for fun I would love the big hexagon.

The circles look so cool! I also like the drunkerd's path die set.
I have the tumbler die and the 2.5 strip cutter die. You can use the strip cutter to make both strips AND then cut the strips into squares (if you need a lot of a fabric it is a super fast way to do it)
The Tumblers are easy to cut and sew up so easily. Since the corners are pre-clipped they line right up AND you don't have to clip the "ears" off the blocks. FAST!!!!

Congratulations! I also have the GO cutter and the 5" square die... did you measure your 5" squares after they were cut?? Mine are actually 1/8" too short on one side. Where I purchased, they tested their 5" square die as well and got the same result. 1/8" short on one side. I was just wondering if you were getting the same result...??
