I was super excited when I got the e-mail from Carolyn at Accuquilt asking if I'd like to receive a Go! Cutter to use and demo...but I had no idea until I used it how amazing this device is...I absolutely can't believe how fun and simple it is to use. It is accurate and much faster than using a rotary cutter--and because it's so easy and fun to use I'm really motivated to cut up my scraps so they're ready for projects!
The Go! Cutter is lightweight and takes up very little space. It also folds up easily for storage and travel. My family was kind of teasing me the day it arrived...because all I wanted to do was cut fabric!
First I cut my 12 Days of Christmas scraps into 5" charm squares...then I cut the scraps from that into 2 1/2" squares. From now on all of my 2 1/2" and 5" squares will be cut using the Go!Cutter!
Next, an Odyssea charm pack with 42 squares quickly became 21 three-inch circles which I then sewed to the remaining charm squares. I mixed in a few extra charm squares and now have a pretty good start on my circle quilt! The circle die is also perfect for making yo yo's...finished sizes of yo yo's for each size circle die are included on the package.

The alphabet! I would cut a zillion M & W and fuse them down on the back of all my quilts for labeling.
After all the cutting I did today (and nowhere near finished!) that looks like heaven! Like you, I love the look of circle quilts but I've been afraid to try it, so I would go for the circle cutters!
Congratulations. I'm sure you'll love your GO! I did enjoy seeing what you created with it and look forward to see what you create with the GO! in the future.
I also hope you'll join my network of bloggers with AccuQuilt products.

Oh you lucky girl! Your projects look great. I always thought the strip cuts would be great as well as tumblers or apple cores & drunkard's path dies. Have fun!
Love these fabrics.
Very cool & quick with all the circles! Guess these would be my favorite as I have been cutting strips like a fool. Time for a change and I have just the project i mind.
Blazing stars and diamond ! Would be my dream diecuts, but my most usefull woudl be the square and the four trianglees. Since you asked! I only dream of the go cutter. Right now it is not in our budget. Oh well, I will enjoy them through the use of others by admiring there quilts. My friend amy and you must be that luckiest galls I have come across she also is testing one. It's great to know they want the oppinion of regular people! Have fun, can't wait to see what you do with all those circles!
I would definitely like the Go! Classic set containing the apple core and tumbler templates. It would speed up the process of cutting out those shapes!
Oh, I am so glad you got this! I've been looking at it on their website but really wanted to hear from someone who is using one. Will love all info you post about it, along with pics of course! Thanks!
You are GO!lucky!! I would LOVE a Go!! I would definitely get the strip die plus the alphabet and maybe the hexagons...so many to choose from!! Have fun!!

Hi Sherri! Oh, you lucky girl! That's wonderful...! A cutter is definitely on my "if I had won the lottery" list *lol*. I would most certainly add the Apple Core die to the collection - I always wanted to make a scrappy AC quilt but I wanted it to be simple - the Go! cutter die is so cleverly designed - it has those markings to pin...
Have a great day cutting ;o).
Hugs, Julia
I've looked at these so many times and added it to my list. Would love to be able to cut so fast. Love your project.
Wondering how it is with getting the most from the fabric or do you waste quite a bit??
I think I might put this on my list to santa. Hope he is listening.
Perfect Circles ...what a Great machine...Love your Fabrics..the Circles look Great...
cheers
Oh how very fun...5" and 2.5" squares...how wonderful. That sure will save many hours of cutting...have tons of fun!
Go! cutters rock...
and um the hexies are definitely needed. can't wait to show what I did with mine...and the basket die, and on and on... :)
have a great weekend and next ;) I will be thinkin of you and your family.
A gal at our guild demoed the Go at our meeting last month. All I can say is, "Wow! What a machine"!
Accuracy and time saving...two things that every quilter needs!
Your circle quilt looks FAB, Sherri!
Oh my that looks like fun and hexagons too, I love it!
How fun! What an amazing treat from AccuQuilt :) I would definitely go for the apple core die...I have a quilt all ready to go in my head using that shape!
Smiles, DianeM :)
I'll all about circles. Amazing how "all over the place" the AccuQuilt cutter is. Thanks for sharing your product testing experience.
I liked the set Diamonds something or the other. It has the apple core. I'd love to make a tumbler quilt. That's the die I'd most want to have. Enjoy your new GoCutter!
i would like one of each, with seeing all these machines online everywhere lately, i sure am jealous!!! looks amazing, and fun too!!
How fun, how practicle and how fast. Oh, Sherri, sounds like it makes your cutting life much shorter.
I'm loving hearing all the possitive reports about this machine.
Congratulations on getting a GO!
What dies I think would be the most FUN? The Funky Flower, the Round Flower and the Alphabet.
As far as what I'd NEED it would be the strip sets, the blocks, and the triangle.
Truly the least enjoyable part of quilting to me is cutting.
Love circle quilts! I think the rag die would be a life (and hand) saver :)
Lucky you.....sounds as if you have been having so much fun.....and to have everything cut accurately. The apple core looks like a necessary die after the basic squares, triangles and circles. Enjoy downsizing your scraps!!!
I would like to have them ALL but would settle for the round flower diecuts.
I enjoy your blog and always look forward to seeing what projects you are working on - very inspiring.
It looks like so much fun! I know I'd make good use of flower and leaf cutters.
Cirles, cirles, cirles - I would love to have that for the circle die.
Oh my! I had no idea it did those circles!!!!
I wish I could add one of these babies to my sewing room. I can't imagine how quickly I could get strips and squares cut for charity quilts.
Well I am seeing that there are some bloggers making clam shell quilts so a clamshell die would be helpful!
Lucky gal! A few other bloggets had been also asked to try it out and gave away one...I'm guessing you have one to giveaway. :-) Sure wouldn't want to miss that post!
Oh what fun! Looks like you have been... "on the go"! LOL. I love that machine- and seeing all it can do Sherri. I think the tumble bloc and apple core would be great die cute to use.
lucky you! the quilt looks amazing so far. I've been seeing the Go reviews everywhere and I'm starting to get a hankerin for one! I think all the dies would be a "must"
How fun! I would get the circle one and the hexagon one for sure!
You mean we're supposed to pick ONE??? Well, besides the circle, probably the Go Applique cutter. Those pesky leaves would be SO much easier to cut with this. But it would be a toss up between the circles and applique cutters.
How fun! I would love a GO cutter and I think my first set purchase would be the Triangles in Square-3" Finished.
You lucky girl! I'd love the circles, the 2 1/2 strip, and the feathers! Looks like SEW much fun!
That looks like an awesome tool!! Too hard to choose. A round flower or the basket one (already forgot the name)!!
I want a rag quilt die! and the strip dies.. and the 5" square...
maybe just one of everything :)
How very fun! LOVE the circle quilt! I think having the alphabet would be great, I'd do a whole quilt out of a bible verse. I think a dresden plate template die would be awesome too!
I keep thinking I'd like to own one of these but defintely still on the fence. If I owned one I'd love all the dies you mentioned and the alphabet dies - I'd have so much fun with that.
I love your circles, Sherri.
Wow! What a fun new toy you have! I would probably use the strip cutter set the most, followed by the squares. What a great way to recycle your scraps and have them ready for another quilt.
Have lots of fun with your new toy!!
Ooooo! That is so exciting. I'd love to have one of those great tools. I'd especially love to have the circles and hexies. What a neat invention.
You're so lucky to get to tryout a GO! I wish I had it when I made my applecore quilt - 400+ of them cut with a rotary cutter template, and you can only cut two at a time ... It would be fun to make my own charm packs and jelly rolls too.
How exciting! Boy, cutting those circles out by hand would have taken a very long time. Sure is going to be another pretty quilt.
I would definitely say the alphabet, the 5" squares, and the 2 1/2 inch strips....OMG, I have got to win one somewhere!!!! If I buy one, my dh will never let me craft again!!!
Eeeee, I'm so excited. I just got myself one yesterday too!! I REALLY want the rag die (5.5") and the apple core. The circle do intrigue me too....so maybe I'll put them on the list too :) If course, I want the drunkard's path too. Oh heck, I just want them all! I hope they come out with a smaller tumbler for the GO! as well. I HAD to get the big one yesterday :)
I would like the 5 inch squares, 2 1/2 inch squares and the circle cutter. Also the tumbler and rag quilt.
Oh my goodness I am green with envy!!! At my quilt retreat on the weekend I very loudly announced I 'needed' a Go! cutter. Oh the bliss if I owned one.......Triangles!!
I think you need a tumbler.
I think the heart and star die cutters would be so handy for applique since they are hard to cut out by hand. And the alphabet would also be great - especially for personalizing baby quilts!
dsb448@att.net
Oh, You lucky duck!! I think the circles would be great, they are just way to hard to cut!
Can I just say.... ALL OF THEM?? Ok, I'd love the apple core and 2.5" strips for sure. First I need the AccuQuilt Go! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Wow! Congrats. I just saw a circle quilt in a magazine that was darling.
I think I'd have to go with circles too. I've also been wanting to make a circle quilt and that would actually make it seem do-able to me!
I think the drunkards path would be fun to have, love the pattern but they are time consuming to cut out. Enjoy your Go Cutter, lucky you!
I keep looking at those but haven't gotten one yet, don't know how much I would use one. Your circles look great.
The funky flowers would be fun to have, but I would probably use the square & rectangle dies the most. What a fun item to get to play with!
Lucky you! I'm so envious! I saw one of these cutters in person at my quilting retreat and they are so slick! I love how easily they cut through multiple layers and unusual shapes that are hard to cut by hand.
Yaaayy! I'm so excited for you. I've thought about getting one for cutting 2 1/2" strips, but I'd probably never sew again and my family would find me buried under a mountain of strips.
The tumblers.... definately! I have seen a few tumbler quilts on blogs lately, and would really love to make one, but the thought of cutting them out stops me in my tracks.
Well I'm impressed. How wonderful to have this opportunity! This looks like a great way to cut. I'm very intrigued.
I love your circle quilt and that is what I would like to play with too!!
I love all the circles showing up in blog land and would love to try one myself
SheilaC
Love the basic 5" square and 2 1/2" strip. I think they would be great! You are very luckly to get the "Go". Love all your work, you are very talented!
I didn't even know they had a circle die: I also have put off a circle quilt because I just didn't have the omph to cut them. I know I would want to cut 2 1/2" strips and triangles for hsts. I have also been looking at the tumbler block quilts and have been thinking of several different comfort quilt plans for them.
I would get the dresden plate and/or the drunkards path. For now I just drool...
Would love to have a GO. I am lucky in that I have a husband who does all of my cutting for me, but he would really love to have a Go I'm sure. The 5.5 square and the strips would be great.
I'm loving this. I have uses for 2 1/2 inch strips, 2 1/2 inch squares and half squares, and circles but for fun I would love the big hexagon.
Mary
The circles look so cool! I also like the drunkerd's path die set.
I have the tumbler die and the 2.5 strip cutter die. You can use the strip cutter to make both strips AND then cut the strips into squares (if you need a lot of a fabric it is a super fast way to do it)
The Tumblers are easy to cut and sew up so easily. Since the corners are pre-clipped they line right up AND you don't have to clip the "ears" off the blocks. FAST!!!!
I want the strip cutters!
Enjoy your blog.
Leona
Congratulations! I also have the GO cutter and the 5" square die... did you measure your 5" squares after they were cut?? Mine are actually 1/8" too short on one side. Where I purchased, they tested their 5" square die as well and got the same result. 1/8" short on one side. I was just wondering if you were getting the same result...??
