I decided to join in along with all the others who are making one hexagon flower each Wednesday. I've been wanting to start a "modern" hexie project, and this was the perfect inspiration...after all...one flower a week is very doable, right? Go visit Karen here if you want to learn more.
I've also been spending a little time with EQ6...I was so grateful to have received it in a giveaway over at SewCalGal! I'm absolutely amazed with everything this program can do...and I've only worked my way through four lessons. The program is a lot of fun and very easy to work with!
I've been catching up on my Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt Along Blocks too... block 7 is completed...
And here are all 7 together...I think I'm going to love this quilt.
I don't think I've posted this block yet...it was designed by Nanette--love it. Have you seen her quilt market projects for RJR...they are amazing...she's posted about them here.
You might notice that the blocks above and below are different from blocks 5 and 4 that were posted for the quilt along...I've added these two substitutions.
Also...just a couple more things...(sorry if this post is getting too long). I was inspired by this post of Lori's over at Stash Manicure...what a terrific idea to cut two quilts at one time from the same fabrics, but using two different backgrounds! I plan on cutting out some projects today and will definitely use Lori's ideas. Also...have you seen these great placemats...I'll be cutting fabrics to make these too! Hope you have a wonderful day!

I long to play with Nicey Jane...restraining myself. LOVE your version of Hailee. So cute. Wow what a great win.
I am coveting your EQ6. Congrats on that great prize! It's on my Christmas list. :)
Love the blue, brown, red colors. So pretty.
Your JR blocks look great, I stopped at one I didn't want to include and haven't gotten back to them! I need to before I get too far behind!
Welcome to the One Flower Wednesday. I just started two weeks ago.
Your fabrics are quite fun.
Love your blocks you are working on too:) Very pretty!

Sherri, now that's something I haven't done - lay out my Jelly Roll Blocks alongside one another. Thanks for the wonderful idea.
I truly like the bag you made using Hailee. I liked it SO much that i immediately purchased it from Stephanie.
I'm so happy that I started blogging and found such wonderful, delightful bloggers as I consider you.
Blessings.
I saw your purse over on Stephanie's blog. I could even pick out which one was yours immediately by the colors.
You've got a lot of fun projects in the works. I think I'm going to start a hexagon quilt too.
Just ordered the paper pieces this afternoon.
LOVE that bag. Gotta get the pattern.

love your material for JRSQA!
Ooh, thanks for mentioning the hexagon flower a week challenge. I'm up to about 150 hexagons right now, but don't have a plan for them. This could help!
Sherri you have been busy, love the bag....nice choice of fabric for your flowers.
Look at you, you have been very busy. And, look at that hexagon flower, so bright and very modern. I love it!!
I saw your bag on Stephanie's blog, and really thought it was beautiful. It reminded me of you! Not surprised your daughter claimed it, so I hope you get a chance to make one for yourself. I've always wanted to try EQ software - maybe one day. I also love seeing the hexagon flowers people are posting on Wednesdays. Such a simple post with wonderful eye candy for your readers!
Love your purse... your everything that you have going and I am wishing like mad that some of your amazing accomplishments would come my way. I better get busy!!! :)

I'm thinking of purchasing EQ7, because of sew cal gal's post about it too! She really should be getting paid commissions!
