Stars

"Plan C" in the larger version from Schnibbles Times Two (Carrie's new book) is officially ready for quilting...I got the piano key borders added yesterday.  I heart this quilt...it's about 77 by 77, a really generous-sized quilt.

The fabrics, Martinique and Park Avenue by Moda are gorgeous...not as grey as they appear in this photo...I love their "vintage" look and feel.  And I love the four-patches inside the star blocks...

I finished another quilt on my "to do" list today...

Another quilt with star blocks...these have pinwheels in the centers.  The fabric is Simple Abundance by Bonnie and Camille, and the pattern is "A la Mode" by Camille.  By the way...there is a great sneek peek of Bonnie and Camille's new fabric Bliss here!

I still need to add the outer border, and then this one will be ready for quilting too!

And this is what arrived the other day...Moda by the bolt...so nice to have this on hand!  I purchased it from Anna at Thimbleanna who has a new shop here--she specializes in bolts of Moda Bella solids and also will carry some other fun things--and her prices are terrific!  Hope you have a wonderful day!

LOVE those star blocks -- and when you combine pinwheels and stars -- perfect! Thanks for the shout-out -- so glad your fabric arrived safe and sound!

Hi Sherri,
hmmmm...that quilt is beautiful! I can only hope that I'll get my copy of the Schnibbles book soon (pre-ordered it from the local amazon page but nothing happened by now...hmpf!).
You really did the right thing to add some Park Avenue. They complement each outher wonderfully! I think I have found a project to use my fat eighths bundle of Park Ave. in {isn't it great to have moda offer these bundles now, too? Surely I'd love to buy fq bundles but I'm not able to do that for all collections I love...and sometimes LC or JR aren't just enough ;o)}
Are you going to dye the Bella Solid fabric or use it as it is? I hesitated from buying the PFD white b/c I didn't know anything about it despite that you can use it for printing pictures on it...
Cheers, Julia

Beautiful quilts, Sherri. I split a bolt of Bella with a friend a little over a year ago - it's long gone and now I need to order a bolt just for me. I buy Kona white and snow white by the bolt, too.

Sherri,
How do you do it all?? With a wedding to plan on top of it. Love the Bella Solids, and to have a whole bolt sounds heavenly.
BTW- Your daughter will be in Bishop Chases' ward, and I talked to his wife Amy (good friend) last night and told her to take good care of the May's when they arrive.
