A quilting life...I live in the desert of southern Nevada, but I love the ocean and rainy days. I love my terrific family--my husband and four wonderful children! My hobbies are quilting, stitching, reading, writing, and genealogy.
Twelve...all twelve blocks are finished for my A Tisket, A Tasket quilt...thanks so much Anne!!! I'm hoping to add the final row and borders this weekend.
This darling block is one of my favorites...the vintage pink rick rack in the basket came from Stephanie and seemed to be absolutely perfect.
Now I can start on Anne's new block of the month...Snowbound--well, as soon as Rural Jardin is available that is...
It's lovely! I think the December block was my favourite, too. Will you show us all twelve together? How are you going to finish it? So many questions...
I'm still trying to decide what fabric to use for the Snowbound blocks. Such a hard decision. I have a list of 4 possibilities, but I think I'd have to see them in person to pick one.
I am so jealous. I have all the applique done on mine but still need to do the embroidery: hand embroidery is something I have not done for many years. Are you sashing it with that blue and white gingham?
Oh my sweet goodness...love the rick rack, your blocks, all things snowmen. Congratulations on finishing your blocks. I know your Snowbound will just as gorgeous.
Simply darling. I loved that series of blocks; I saved them all for a rainy day! It's fun to see others doing them--now onward to 2010 and the snowmen! :)
Aw that is so sweet! There are other blocks like that? What a fun project. I'm hoping to get to sew today too, finishing a string-pieced pillow and a valentines day table runner. Happy Friday!
This block is gorgeous. I didn't manage to get a single block made last year although I collected the patterns!! I plan to 'try' and keep up with snowbound this year!
Love your last block and congrats on finishing up all the blocks. I have about 9 of mine together, but now I need to sit down with the sewing machine and applique them. Can't wait to see the finished top.
