It's time for my August post for the Charming Girls' Quilt Club sponsored by Kelly. I really appreciated the motivation to finish my July project...and hope to have another finish by the end of this month!
I have 24 blocks that I made last year from the book The Civil War Love Letter Quilt. All of the blocks are made from Civil War reproduction fabrics and have been sitting in a box for several months. I've already added a coordinating sashing and corner post border to each block to make them a little larger (they were six inch blocks to begin with).
My goal for August is to design a setting for these blocks and complete the quilt top. I've had a few ideas but just haven't taken the time to put them together! Of course I have lots of other projects going on right now too...be back soon!

Wow, thats going to be quite the project. I have the book also, but only just browsed at the blocks. Yours look wonderful, and I'm sure how ever you put them together, they will look great.

just love those pile of blocks and am so anxious to see what you come up with for a setting...gee I wish my blocks were only sitting for a couple of months...some UFO's are crying to see the light of day again.

I am so glad that one of the club members is going to make this quilt! I am planning to get this book and make some of the blocks for my BFF's Christmas present. I will also give her the book.
