Almost Summer

Thirty-one nine patch blocks are complete and framed--all made from one Simple Abundance jelly roll! But now they'll have to go into a drawer until September when I'll be able to buy the fabrics to finish the quilt! The pattern I'm using is "Around the Block" from the book On a Roll Again by Heather Mulder Peterson. The inner and outer borders on this quilt are great...Nicole just made a gorgeous quilt from this pattern using Patisserie--you can see what her finished quilt top looks like here.

These are just a few of my favorite blocks--did I mention that I love this fabric?!!!

I cut my Snippets layer cake into strips...they're all ready to go for my Confetti Cake quilt! Three more days of school and one high school graduation to go...and then SUMMER will officially be here! I'm going to try to sit down tonight and make a list of quilt projects for summer, and...dare I say it...make my list of Christmas projects!!! Hooray!
Have a wonderful day!

Cute, cute, CUTE! That 9-patch quilt with the jelly-rolls is wonderful! I can't wait to see the fabric collection OR the finished quilt.

I'm working with snippets right now too. Doesn't it just make you feel cheerful? :)

That was quick! You got that fabric just the other day! I am so impressed. The waiting for the yardage though...wahhhhh. I should NOT have looked at that Patisserie quilt. Oh.MY! I think that might be my favorite fabric by Fig Tree Quilts so far. I don't own any of it....yet. The Confetti Cake quilt is cute too! It looks hard but says it is strip piecing. I can't wait to see it....when? Like Thursday?? ;) Summer projects are one thing but Christmas?? ALREADY?? I am even MORE impressed.

Love all your fabric choices. Do you think you will get much quilting done this summer? What kinds of things do you have planned?

the 9 patch quilt will be fabulous..I am still trying to decide what to do with my Mill House Inn fabrics...but as you know..I can't get yardage..so..I'm not sure what background to use...do I use another FIgtree fabric? what if it's discontinued? so many decisions..so little time. I love snippets too...not sure what the Confetti cake pattern is..so I have to google that.
