First up...32 blocks in less than 3 hours...start to finish! This is why I love Moda Layer Cakes!
Aren't these wonderful fabrics?! I'm using Heather Mulder Peterson's pattern Double Takes 3. It was quick and easy and fun! Now I just need to get these blocks together! Second--you...must...buy...this...book! My copy of Material Obsession came (and a day early at that)! There is so much inspiration here...and so many quilts I want to make! And they just announced on their blog that Material Obsession 2 just arrived in their store!
And finally, I won a giveaway...Belinda of Brown Dirt Cottage had the best idea...for her hundredth post giveaway she randomly chose three readers from previous posts to send packages to!
Everything was wrapped beautifully! She must have realized I love working on Christmas projects because she sent a Christmas book along with the fat quarters, thread and ruler. Oh, there was also a package of Post-It tags...they're already being used! Thank you Belinda!!!

As always, I am inspired. I was at a nearby quilt shop yesterday and almost bought a layer cake of "Spring Magic" by April Cornell but I passed it up because I didn't have a plan. Guess I need to look at that book, huh! The blocks are so sweet! Have a great day!

I'm making the dresden plate from Material Obsession out of my Sweet layer cake. I need to get more fabric for the center though. I love that book. I will have to check out the second one. I can't wait to see what you make.

Pretty projects in these past couple posts Sherri. :-) You're definitely living A Quilting Life. Material Obsession 2 (I've been on this one for a while) is not available in the US til next year. You can get it now from the Australian gals, but it will be over 50 bucks between their cost and postage. I'm going to force myself and wait til Amazon gets it here. I'm sure I have plenty to keep me busy until then! :-D
Belinda is just the greatest. I adore her. The book is wonderful. I got it used. Love that used book thing.
