"Straight Seams, Perfect Points, and Finished Quilts"

I finished my pinwheel quilt and have named it "Pinwheel Picnic." Attending Carrie's trunk show last week really motivated me to name my quilts! I used 25 of my pinwheel blocks along with 36 squares from a Snippet's charm pack. Just a bit of white and a bit of a Snippet's floral were the only other things I needed! Everytime I look at this quilt I feel good...because those pinwheel blocks could have been scraps in the garbage can!
Also, in my last post I didn't show all of my goodies from Carrie. She was so very nice and tucked the goodies on the left into my bag as I was leaving! How fun it was to get home and find the patterns, a ruler, and a project bag! The book on the right I took along to the show to have signed. Here is what she wrote:

What a great wish for all quilters...I've had that phrase in my mind all weekend.."straight seams, perfect points, and finished quilts!"
This week I've been working on some fun things...only a few posts to go before my 100 post giveaway! And just a hint...if you've thought of becoming a follower of my blog...this might be a good time to do so...I'm thinking of extra chances in the giveaway for regular readers and followers!
Happy Sewing!

Oh you've inspired me to try a pinwheel quilt. Been a long time since I did something with little pieces like that. I think I'm getting "quilt lazy" and doing things with bigger pieces lately. THanks for the inspiration!

Sherri! That is about the happiest little quilt I've seen in a long while. Who wouldn't smile upon seeing it? May we use the pattern if we link back to you for credit? Oh, now I'm so afraid I'll forget (memory of a gnat, I tell you!) this by the time I finish everything else on my to-do list. Will you remember for me? Ask me in a couple months if I've started on my pinwheel quilt. :-D Really, this is just super!

Your little quilt turned out great! I love the pinwheels and the way you set them with the snippit squares! You were more productive over the weekend than I was! How sweet of Carrie to write that in your book!... with goodies to-boot!

Sherri, that's got to be one of my favorites of yours now. Very pretty. I love the tiny sashing/squares. You need to make something with that cute saying for your sewing room.

Now that's a quilt that brings a smile to my face...from ear to ear! Everything about it screams fresh and lively. I love it, Sherri, from the first stitch to the last.

And how appropriate is that saying for all of us? I think I'll paint a sign with those words and hang it in my studio.

Thanks for sharing.

That is a perfect saying! You should have Shannon put it in vinyl and hang it in your quilting room!

Hi Sherri,
oh, wow. I'm speechless. I finally had some time to catch up with all my favourite blogs & I definitely have missed your gorgeous piccies...I have to admit I'm slightly green because you had the possibility to meet Carrie {I LOVE her patterns and just bought her book she gave you...}.
Speaking of LOVE ~ the pinwheel quilt is AWESOME, and the sneak peak (last post?) of the Patisserie pinwheels is just yummy {if you ever need a new home for that, don't hesitate to call me ;o)}...and so is your new bag!
I missed visiting you & I'm glad to be back.
Hugs, Julia
