This is "State Fair"...a 32" square quilt from the Schnibbles pattern by
Miss Rosie's Quilt Company. I love Schnibbles patterns...they are quick, fun, and always go together perfectly! In addition, there are always tips for precise piecing! I used charms from 3 different charm packs--Recess, Look & Learn, and Wee Play by American Jane for Moda...and had lots of charms left over as well! I didn't think I'd finish this so early in the week...but I was having so much fun I couldn't stop working on it!

One tool really helped in making this quilt. The picture on the left shows what the blocks look like before you square them up...and
Carrie gives perfect directions for using the standard 6" or 6 1/2" ruler to square up this block...but I remembered
Jodi's "Square it Up" tools...and knew it would make this quilt go together even faster!

Jodi's "Square it Up," in the perfect size for this quilt was wonderful! Now here is my question for the day...would you classify this as a whirlygiggles quilt or not?

tough question.
it's yes and no.
I love it, love it, love it! I've never seen your square up tool before. Thanks for sharing. Did I say I Love It!
I love the quilt and I do not know what I would do without Jodi's square it ups!!
Thanks for sharing the tool option! I love it when a tool makes the quilt so much easier to do.
I love this quilt...and the colours are perfect for it....does this mean I have to stimulate the American economy even more by ordering more fabric...! We are being urged to spend to stimulate our economy and my partner says the amount I spend on fabric from the US I will be helping there too! I am loving those bright, fun colours...whirlygiggle....? why not?
D-A-R-L-I-N-G! What else is there to say, except did you make two? One for you and one for me? JK
Fantastic quilt. I love the design and the American Jane fabrics.

Too cute!! Maybe it could be a whirlygiggle. Whatever you want to call it I like it a whole lot.
With that cute pattern and those great fabrics - you can't go wrong! My hero is Sandy Klop - at least lately.
That is an awesome quilt...it looks fairly simple to assemble too!
BTW...I tagged you! Check out my blog for details. :)
I love this pattern - I've been seeing it around blogland and thinking I would like to do one. Very pretty - great fabric choices!!!

Sherri, I think they're called "Paddlewheels." I was looking on Fat Quarter World and they had some patterns that looked like your quilt.
Looks like a whirlygig to me! I have always wanted to make this quilt too.

Hi Sherri,
yummy! Such a sweet quilt!
I'm thinking of not to visit your blog for a while - your projects are simply too tempting ;o) {nah, I won't do that...I just have to be very persevering not to give in the temptation}.
Hugs, Julia
