One of my weekend projects was to piece my Pot Luck pattern using Fig Tree’s Somerset collection. The original quilt was pieced using Feedsack by Sweetwater. Even though the two collections are entirely different, I love this quilt with both fabric lines. (You can see the original quilt here).
The Dresden blocks are made before piecing the blocks together…I keep thinking I need to make a Christmas version of this quilt, too. Maybe one for each of my kids for next year?!
This really is a great scrap project as well.
And this was the only shot I got of the border…but I used my favorite Somerset green for that!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I still need to say a BIG Thank You for your pattern sale you offered just a short time ago. 'Pot Luck' is one of the patterns I ordered and though the whole pattern was a draw – it was those little dresdens that just add something to the whole quilt. Like finding a treasured trinket among an already beautiful field of wildflowers. So, Thank You Sherri, for your beautiful quilt patterns.

I bought this pattern from you the day you advertised it. I love that it showcases large blocks of fabric so well. I have it on the short list for 2015. Thanks!

This looks great! I never pay attention to fabric lines, I just mix and match whatever looks good. And this definitely looks good.

I haven't seen this line but it is gorgeous. Not sure what color combo makes it look so different. Love the dresdens.
