It seems it took a little time for me to get back in the sewing room after International Quilt Market, but I’ve got a lot of fun things I’m working on, and since I haven’t completed any of them yet it seemed like a perfect time for a “Work in Progress Wednesday” post! The yummy American Jane fabrics again (plus bits and pieces of American Jane fabrics I’ve had in my stash for years) are for a quilt I’ll start sharing progress on very soon. Some of the fabrics for this project have been in my stash for over 5 years, so it’s been really fun to mix them with the current lines!
And I am making progress on my Anna Maria Horner fabrics “On a Whim” quilt. I’ve finished all 20 blocks now and have sewn them into 5 rows.
I’ll have the rows sewn together soon!
The saturated colors of Anna Maria’s fabrics are just incredible. And the grey is from Bonnie and Camille’s “Happy Go Lucky” collection. I got mine here.
I’m also getting ready to work on new projects using the new release Accuquilt Go! dies I was able to receive. There are so many great shapes available now for quilters including clamshells, new hexagon dies, triangles, and stars! These dies really speed up cutting, and I can’t wait to work on a few projects with them!
Finally, thanks so much for the “Simply Small Sewing” love. Feel free to use this button above if you’re thinking about participating. More information this weekend!
Oh, one more thing…if you live in the Las Vegas area you know the local quilting shop hop starts Thursday! I’ll be at the Christmas Goose on Thursday all day and again on Friday morning with an English Paper Piecing demo and lots of my books and patterns. If you’re shop-hopping, please do say “hi!”
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love my Accuquilt. Haven't ordered the new dies yet. Clamshells were one of the first thing I learned how to appliqué. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I love those stars, I had never seen that pattern. Where can I find it?

Love what you're working on!! Your On a Whim quilt is beautiful!! And I picked up some of the American Jane fabrics at PIQF and they are so fun!! Wish I could be in Las Vegas this week to meet you: I have been to that store, since my sister lives in LV, but you weren't there: it would have been better had you been there!!:-) Have a great weekend!! Ooo that is eautiful, I love the colours. I receive Accuquilts newsletter and have seen the fantastic new dies. I will certainly be adding some of them to my collection, birthday and Christmas coming up ;).
They probably won't be available yet here in the UK so will have to be patient.
Thanks for sharing, enjoy your weekend.

Oh I agree about Anna Maria Horner fabrics! I love that I can order them online without really worrying about how they'll look in person – they're always better than I imagined.
