I usually plan on doing works in progress posts on Wednesdays, but we’ve had a bit of rain and some gloriously cloudy skies (living in the desert one comes to truly appreciate overcast days). So, with the rain and the clouds there wasn’t an opportunity for good photos, and it seemed like the perfect weather to decorate for Christmas.
But I have been doing a little quilting, too. I got the binding finished up on this quilt…
thanks to a friend who was able to get the quilting done super fast.
I sewed the bows on the wreaths, and it’s now hanging in my front entry (I still need to find 3 buttons for my Gingerbread Man).
I was also able to sew together the blocks I started a couple of weeks ago for my Moda Modern Building Blocks quilt.
Section one is complete now, and I can hardly wait to start making more blocks. I’m really happy I finally started this project. I know it’s going to be a favorite!
But sewing section 2 will have to wait a little bit. My plan is to first finish up all of the remaining Christmas gifts I want to make.
And I have quite a few left to finish!
Oh, and I also need to announce some winners from Monday’s parade. Joanna sent along 3 prize packs which include a Somerset charm pack and 4 more of her mini patterns! The Pears mini, the Sewing Machines mini, the Blossom mini, and the Cherries mini! Congrats to Polly from Sinta’s parade and to Gretchen and Jodi from my parade. Please send me your mailing info, ladies!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I LOVE your Moda blocks….I should have done mine in red and white too!
OH, and Sherri just curious as to when we should expect the pattern for the next AYOS? Are we supposed to get it on Craftsy ourselves? If that's the case, i'm fine with that….I'd think I'd like to start mine soon especially with the Christmas holiday coming so soon…..
