Hello! I still haven’t decided on a fun summer quilt (so many ideas to choose from…and I want it to be something scrappy…), but in the meantime I’ve been trying to get caught up on works in progress!
With travel and market preparations I fell behind on my Fat Quarter Shop Crossroads quilt along blocks…
So on Saturday I finished up the April and May blocks…(I also did June’s so
April’s block was the Friendship block…and there were three to make. These went together quickly since there was just one fabric in each block.
May’s block was the Family block…and there were four to make. I actually changed up the fabrics on one of mine because I wanted to add in more yellow and green. These were also straightforward…I love that the instructions for this quilt along have you chain piece all of the different sections of each block.
After the June blocks the quilt will be practically done. There are a lot of chain blocks to make in July which will tie it all together, and I believe we will be able to finish up this one in September.
I also finished up a Bee block for my Bees Knees quilting bee…I loved making this paper-pieced Wanda Fanta block…such a fun block (you can find the tutorial and free download for this block here)!
Just a few more blocks to make and I’ll be caught up with my works in progress (for now)…then I’ll have to make a decision on my summer quilt!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Your Crossroads blocks are beautiful. Can't wait to see the finish. I've definitely got to join in on one of these QALs. Last year's was wonderful and I'm pretty sure this one will be also. (Not to mention they benefit charity!)

I choose to make the checkerboard quilt from Red Pepper Quilts blog. It is a perfect scrappy quilt.

I'm really enjoying the Crossroads quilt along. Your blocks are beautiful. I'm using Miss Kate, but I'm thinking I may want to make each of my 3 grown daughters one each!
