Just checking in…I can’t believe next week is Thanksgiving! And I can’t believe 20+ people will be having dinner here that day! There is so much to do over the next few days! So I’m trying to sew even just a little every day to keep my sanity!
I’m hoping to finish up this hexie-pieced Christmas stocking…I basted the hexies last Christmas and just never got it finished. The rest of the rows have 6-7 hexies in each, so I’m trying for one row a day until completion!
And, I absolutely could not stand it anymore, so I opened my Moda Candy pack of Glamping this morning! The fabrics are fun! I love the chunky ginghams and the retro florals. The dots are cute, and the vintage trailers are so fun!
This was kind of big for me, because it’s really hard to tear open the Moda candy…they are so cute just as they are!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

why is it some of us (me) always wait until the season is upon us to start…or in this case finish a festive project? i have a table topper i was sure i was going to complete last year by this time…but no, i'm working on it now in hopes it will be done this Christmas…Love your hexies!! gonna be cute! ~karen

good luck hosting thanksgiving.
that is a stressful job.
i can't remember the last time i had to do it.
but my sister has the nerve this year to be out of town, so the job falls to me.
wash windows, clean light fixtures, spray off patio, gather tables and chairs, scrub bathrooms.
and oh, yeah . . .
i should probably buy a turkey and all the rest of the groceries!
on a happier note ~ that stocking is going to be darling!

I am totally making a "Glamping" quilt – we don't "glamp," but we do stay in yurts, so I just take lots of quilts. This fabric would be so perfect!

I loved the commenter who wondered why we all waited until the season was upon us to get going. I know why I wait–it's hard to feel like Christmas when it's 80 degrees outside (I'm a 4-seasons kind of gal).
But if you started working on those LAST year, I would hardly call that last minute. Good luck!

I can't wait to see your hexie stocking. I have never made them before. Do you have a tutorial on yourwebsite for how to make them? I would think you would hand stitch them. They look fun. I appreciate all your fun projects. Keep them coming!

Can't wait to see the "hexie" stockings. I just started getting some "hexie" projects together to do when I ride the train to Seattle for the Christmas holidays! This will be the first for working with "hexies"!

I'm making a quilt with those same colors!! I think it was one of her best collections. I'm having 13 adults and 4 grandkids but its going to be just wonderful and amazing and they are all staying overnight. I am in heaven. Have a nice Thanksgiving.
