Sometimes I devote a sewing day to working on one project…and other times I work on a little of this and a little of that. Yesterday was one of those days where I didn’t have the attention span to work on just one project. I worked on my Daisy Chain quilt…which I’m quite sure will be my first finish for 2009…these fabrics always make me smile!
And I finished piecing the quilt I made with the four-patches left over from my Merry-Go-Round quilt…this one is now ready to be quilted!

These are pretty. I am assuming the clips on your daisy chain are being used to hold the binding in place while you stitch it down? If so, I’ll need to try that ASAP – my wrists always get so tired and sore while stitching bindings down!

I’ve been doing bindings…not my favorite thing. Since I have 4 quilts ready to bind I think I’m going to do something fun. I need to get those binding/hair clips for bindings. I use pins and ALWAYS poke myself. I love your little leftover quilt and how you did the inner scrappy border!

As usual I love what you have been going. The fabrics all look gorgeous. Do you use a long arm machine for your quilting?

Everything you are working on looks fun. Good for you to use the extra fabric pieces and make another quilt. I know a lady who teaches an entire class called “Free Quilts” and she puts together lots of things from leftovers.

You do such beautiful work. Yes, I agree variety makes quilting fun.

Fantastic…
And I love to use clips for the binding too… :o)

I can’t seem to work on just one project at a time either. The more the merrier!

You always have the cutest material! I love those prints!

I like that too. Change is good for my creativity so I like to have several at once to work on. The 4 patch with the window pane sashing is my favorite. The colors just pop against the light sashing. Nice job Sherri.

I love those stars, I don’t know what it is about them, but I really like stars….darling RED fabric! Sounds like you are having so much fun, too bad we can’t all get together and sew!

You’ve been a busy, busy girl. Pretty, pretty!

Everything looks great!!

Your quilts and blocks are beautiful. I see a lot of quilts in blogland with white sashings and love this look. Ordered myself some Kona white cotton yesterday … this gets mentioned a lot. Is that what you use?

I rarely work on one thing at a time. I tend to get bored with what I am doing and need to work on something else for a while. I also like to have things in various states of progress so I don’t just switch to something else that needs the same thing. I like that you use your leftovers and make such lovely looking items.

Love them both! Your choice of colors are so compatible with mine!

You have some wonderful projects going. Your BOM quilt will be gorgeous using those fabrics. Is that Moda’s Peace on Earth? If not, it looks a lot like it, very pretty. I like to work on several things at a time too, guess I have a short attention span. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Sherri,
oh, I think working on more than one project the same time is a virus that has me in its grip since I started to quilt *lol*.
Love your projects, I’m even more intrigued to try some modern fabrics myself…
BTW, I save the scraps of the DMBOM too and sew the left over HST together…perhaps I’ll end with an interesting label? Hmmm…will decide on that when the BOM is finished ;o).
Hugs, Julia

You are getting lots done! The quilts are gorgeous!

I’m a project-hopper too – keeps it all fun.
I’ve been saving all the little leftovers from the Christmas BOM but I haven’t done anything with them yet. I’d love to see a post where you show us what you’ve done so far. I think it would be fun to get a little doll quilt or something out of these.
