As much as I love to start Christmas sewing early, I have realized that I really do enjoy sewing with Christmas fabrics in December! The other day I sewed these strip sets from my Cherry Christmas leftovers. I hope they will become a table runner and a few potholders in the near future!
I also finished up my hexagon stocking. This was a great finish for me since I started it before last Christmas. Now I’ve finished two “ufo’s” from last year…a great feeling!
I did a little bit of quilting on the stocking front that I really like…I made a couple of these stockings a couple of years ago and didn’t quilt them…the quilting adds so much!
I’ve also had some pretty good mail days lately…I ordered this little bundle from my friend Stefanie’s new shop, and it arrived the other day. I’m getting ready to make some zipper bags and phone pouches for friends and just might have to break into this. The line is 2wenty Thr3e (Twenty Three) by Eric & Julie Comstock for Moda…it’s gorgeous!
Well…that’s all for now…I’m hoping to spend a lot of time in the sewing room today, so hopefully I’ll have some good finishes to share soon!
Thanks for stopping by!

That hexie stocking is gorgeous. I made my stockings this year, and that hexie was one of them. I quilted it the same as you and, you're right, it really does make the whole thing look polished. I have leftover fabric from my stockings that I'm dying to make into a Christmas throw quilt, but I don't have time!

You are really getting into the Christmas spirit! My favorite is the cute little hexie stocking.
Thank you Sherri!

You know, I'm the same way. I just want to sew with fabrics of the season. I have a hard time starting on Christmas stuff early, because I like sewing with Christmas fabric during December. It just doesn't get it for me to sew out of season.

Love the stocking!!!

Even though I think they are different fabric lines, your strips look like they coordinate well with your stocking. Maybe a mat to set Santa's milk and cookies on 😉

That stocking is just adorable!!!

The quilting really does just give the stocking that something extra, looks great.

To finish a couple of things left over from last Christmas–I WISH! How about from 5 or 8 Christmases or summers ago. Maybe I should do more things by machine and not always by hand–Duh! I enjoy seeing all the darling things you and other quilt bloggers make and finish. It gets me going on projects still unfinished. Thanks!
