Hello! I’m still working on behind the scenes preparation for Quilt Market which is now just four weeks away! And I’ve also been helping my friend Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree & Company with some of her quilt market prep. But I think I’m caught up enough to start something new!
I think one of my summer projects is going to be a scrappy pineapple block
quilt. When I went back to read my original post on these blocks I found that it was almost exactly two years ago…crazy! Anyway, I think it’s time I make more of these…and make them into a quilt. You can read all about the method I’m using on the original post (link above or click on the pineapple block photo).
My The Splendid Sampler: 100 Spectacular Blocks from a Community of Quilters
arrived in the mail this week as well. I’m so happy with how the book turned out. I hadn’t seen it in person when I posted about it last week…there are 144 pages with full size template patterns included for the blocks requiring those. The photography is wonderful, and now I can go through and read all of the stories that go along with each and every block!
Some other “happy mail” arrived this week! My Bella Skill Builder quilt (which I haven’t seen since December when I went to Texas to film the instructional videos arrived home today! It’s always fun to get a quilt back home! If you’re following along with this quilt along, the videos post on the first of each month. Month 4 will post May first, so it’s not too late to join in! Find all of the details on the Bella Skill Builder Frequently Asked Questions page!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I have seen busy cutting some scraps into 1 1/2" strips. My goal like yours to make that scrappy pineapple block. They are so darn fun! Love the way yours look.
