Starting a new quilt was not on my list of things to do yesterday. But, I’d had this bundle of Denyse Schmidt fabrics sitting on the shelf for a few months. And suddenly I knew what I was going to do with it.
I’m starting out with 3 blocks. 60 half-square triangles…finished.
24 flying geese also finished. I should have the first three blocks put together this morning.
I’ve got the combinations for the final 6 blocks ready to go…I’m really excited about this quilt…I might have to start the next three blocks right away…be back with photos soon!
Thanks for stopping by…oh, and there’s still time to enter the Shabby Fabrics giveaway…go here!

Oh, it's those "it wasn't on my list" projects that will get you in trouble every time! I too fall victim to those whims. Why do we do that? But it makes quilting fun doesn't it? Your HSTs and Flying Geese are pretty.

I randomly started a new quilt yesterday, too. In the middle of another quilt and three clothing projects for my soon to be kindergartener. I just couldn't help myself!

What is it about those types of project that suddenly take over your life…they're all you can think about, they keep you awake at night, you don't want to be apart from them…sounds more like a new boyfriend than a stitching project! Looking forward to seeing your new beau ;o)

Lol… Sometimes the unplanned quilts are the best. I can fully understand why you needed to start on that beautiful pile of fabrics. I wouldn't be able to resist myself either. It looks good so far.

Yay for starting another quilt! I remember you're a fan of Denise's fabrics, so it's fun to see what you've making with her new collection. (I made a set of patchwork chair pads for a custom order in my shop.) Aren't they charming to work with?!

Can't wait to see what your pretty HST & FG turn into. Love the fabric. I'm so bad about this kind of thing. I'll be working on a project with other fabrics in my head wondering what I can do with them! Too many wonderful fabrics & patterns out there. 🙂
