Hello and happy Saturday! Today is St. Patrick’s Day in the United States, but is also Worldwide Quilting Day! I hope you get to sew sometime today!
Welcome to the 16th edition of the Saturday Seven! On Saturdays I highlight some fun things I’ve found around the quilting world with fun things for the home as well!
I’ve
got a busy week ahead on the blog with reveals of our upcoming fabric
collection and all of the new quilts and patterns at the end of the
week! Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter for first previews of all of the new patterns!
1. I know I’ve talked about these before…but yesterday I made 200 Flying Geese, and they all turned out perfect because of this ruler!
2. I love these three mini quilts…and the patterns are free here.
3. I’m a big fan of Chicken Alfredo and of any type of Stuffed Shells…so it’s natural that I’m going to be making this Chicken Alfredo Stuffed Shells dish soon!
4. Jodie at Forth Worth Fabric Studio has this darling bundle of fabrics perfect for your spring sewing! Get the Tiny Spring Flowers bundle here.
5. I’m finishing up a couple of deadline projects today which means I’ll be reviewing my calendar and to do lists. Links to my favorite posts on time management and organization for quilters are found here.
6. I just received a copy of 3: Jo’s Little Favorites III: Enduring Designs for Classic-Quilt Lovers, and it’s such a fun book! I love her small quilt designs and can’t wait to make a few with our new fabric collection!
7. And I loved these thoughts on mastering the feeling of “time scarcity.” Lots of food for thought here.
I shared a little sneak peek of our upcoming fabric collection on Instagram this week…so I thought I would share that as my last photo today!
Hope your weekend is off to a terrific start…thanks so much for stopping by!

Love the Fig Tree fabrics and your new fabrics too only sad thing is that there is yellow (Chelsi shared another sneak peek on IG) but I think your fabrics will play nice with B&C Basics.
Jo's book is on my wish list and I hope amazon Germany has it soon.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend:-)

Your fabric looks beautiful! I'm trying to be on a fabric "diet" but that sneak peek was the equivalent of chocolate swirled cheescake….

Love the "Time Scarcity" article. Very helpful as well as healthful.

I too like the time scarcity article. My Lenten devotionals have also been talking about this same topic and being in the moment! My question-can you please clarify which Flying Geese ruler you are using? When you click the link, 3 or 4 different rulers come up! If it's the Blok-Lok, do you join 2 HST to make your Flying Geese? THanks and Happy World Quilting Day!!

Oh so many great things in this post, Sherri! Thanks!! Have a great weekend and happy quilting day!

I just read the article on time scarcity, thank you. I have so much, so much of everything and the wanting more steals from what I have. I send you blessings and joy. as your gift to me was peace.

Time scarcity! That's because you were insane enough to make 200 flying geese in one day! I need to put a Bloc-loc ruler on my birthday list. I love to make flying geese and stars, but not 200 at a time… The last photo was so bright and pretty on a gloomy day! Sewing time after lunch!

Thank for you taking the time to do the Saturday post! Love it and look forward to it each week!

Love, love your upcoming fabric colors! With my two gray couches, dashes of red and green – offset with my yellow drapes – can't wait to make a throw for my couch with your new line.

Oh, that green fabric looks like it wants to come to my house! And I had to laugh. Right under where you wrote "fun things for the home as well!", a Liquid Plumber ad showed on my screen. I know you don't actually have control over exactly which ads pop up when, but that one was good for a giggle, unless you're actually needing some at that moment. Can't wait to see your new line.
