I used a new (for me) table runner pattern by Heather Mulder Peterson. This is the “Sweet Escape” runner from the cover of Heather’s On the Run book. It was fast and fun to make, and requires only minimal yardage and 16 charm squares.
After putting these together I also realized that left-over jelly-roll strips could be used in place of the charms…so I’m sure I’ll be making more of these in the future.
Some wonderful mail arrived last week…a wonderful brown paper package tied with…Verna from Moda designer Kate Spain!!! I can hardly wait for Christmas to open this!!!
Also, I won a giveaway from Vickie of Spun Sugar Quilts…and this Jelly Roll of Make Life by Sweetwater for Moda was my prize…I have a project in mind for this right after Christmas.
Some Schnibbly goodness arrived from Carrie…Two Bits, Madeline, Lincoln, Sunday Best, Roundabout, and Sweet Liberty Tuffets are new Schnibbles now available! It’s very tempting to start on these now…but I. must. hold. strong. until. after. Christmas!!! A few Sweet Liberty Tuffets might get finished before Christmas…they’re perfect stocking stuffers for sewing friends! Oh…and I must finish my January Schnibbles by the end of the year as well!
Well…I’m back to the sewing room…hope all of your holiday preparations are going well…and that you have the merriest of Christmases. Christmas and New Year’s are always a time when I count my blessings…and I’m truly grateful for all the blessings I’ve received this year from all of you! I know I’ve said this before…but I just never realized what wonderful inspiration I would find when I began my little quilting blog. I intended to create a personal journal of my projects, and yet a whole world of quilt inspiration has been opened up through all of the amazing blog writers and readers. See you after Christmas!

I made some of those dresden plates as well for Christmas. Stop by and take a look, I used Moda fabrics, but I love the bright fun fabrics that you used. Your Table runner is fantastic as well.
