Happy Thursday! Today is my day on the Splash of Color Blog Tour! My friend (and blog sponsor) Jackie of Canton Village Quilt Works wrote a beautiful book, Splash of Color: A Rainbow of Brilliant Black-and-white Quilts
, and I am happy to be able to share a little bit about it today (read on to the end for a chance to win an e-copy of her book)!
Jackie’s book is a beautifully done book with colorful quilts that are a delight to look at. One of my favorite quilts is called “Climbing Mountains.”
I love Jackie’s version of “Climbing Mountains with the bright colors, low-volume backgrounds, and the mix of black and white!
Jackie also shared with me an alternate version of this quilt made by her friend Roberta…it’s fun to see the difference with darker backgrounds and gorgeous solids!
Jackie’s book has 13 different projects in different sizes, and they all feature bright colors mixed with black and white prints…the designs are traditional and modern–her book is a real visual treat! The projects range from beginner to more advanced, so there is something for every level of quilter.
