I had some Marmalade scraps from some recent sewing that I just couldn’t bear to let sit in my scrap bin…
So I made a few of my favorite zipper bags. I used the Abby’s Treasure Box pattern by This & That patterns. This is my all-time favorite little bag. I have a few…I store binding clips in one, my hexagon paper piecing for on-the-go in another, and even use these to keep make-up and other small items in my purse.
I also had to use a few Vintage Modern scraps to make up this little Dresden. The amazing thing about sewing with scraps is that you never seem to run out!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Lovely and lovely! What a great use for your scraps. It's like getting an extra something for nothing when you make it with scraps isn't it?

Such cheerful fabrics- and I laughed at your comment about never running out of scraps!! The bags look really smart AND useful, excellent combination, and, what's more, your zips don't seem to have any boggles…how wonderful!! I never did a zip that wasn't both boggled and ripped out a dozen times trying to NOT be boggled!!

Beautiful projects!! I know what you mean about the never-ending scraps… I just cut half a quilt from my scrap bin and it doesn't look like I even made a dent in the scraps.

That pattern is one of my favs, too. I like to make it a little bigger and use it as a small knitting project bag. What batting do you use? I normally use scraps for my pouches, but a I bought half a yard of "Soft and Stable" to try. It is a thin layer of foam between two layers of tricot, and is supposed to be very similar to what is used in Very Bradley bags. Half the fun of making a quilt is playing with the scraps when you are done—I always think of them as *free* fabric.
