Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Sewcialites 3 Sew Along Block 1 with all of the details to get started with this incredible sew along sponsored by Fat Quarter Shop. There are lots of options to choose from, and it’s easy to get started using fabric from your stash. Block patterns are free and finish in either 3″, 6″, or 9″ sizes. Keep reading for all of the details and for pictures of my first block.
Sewcialites 3 Sew Along Block 1
Block 1 Details
Block 1 is the Idyllic block shared by my daughter Chelsi Stratton. I loved putting together this Ohio Star variation with a four-patch center and accents on the outer four corners. I used fabrics from Delightfully Yours and Raspberry Summer collections for my block. I’m using the tone-on-tone from Delightfully Yours for the background for all of my blocks.
I strip pieced the four-patch center, but other than that I followed all of the pattern directions exactly as in the pattern.
Sewcialites 3 Details and Resources
If you’re new to the Sewcialites 3 Sew Along, don’t delay–jump in today! This fabulous sew along shares blocks in three different finished sizes: 3″, 6″, and 9″. I’m making the 3″ blocks and will use the Fat Quarter Shop setting for a fun wall hanging. I’ll be mixing fabrics from a variety of our collections for my blocks.
