Sewcialites 3 Block 8: Beacon Block

Block 8 Details

This week’s block from my friend Amy Smart was fun and simple to make. I followed the block instructions for the (8) half-square triangle units, but I oversized the pieces for the flying geese units and used this ruler to trim them. (These little Bloc Loc rulers are pricey, but so worth it for the accuracy you get with little pieces, especially if you make a lot of smaller blocks).

Fabrics for my block 8 are from Strawberry Lemonade and Delightfully Yours collections.
