So I think I’ve finally settled in to the summer routine. Although the heat is not fun, I do appreciate the lack of schedules and the lazy days. I am trying to accomplish a few things and finish up some ongoing projects, though…mostly so I can feel good about starting some new things. The other day I started out cleaning up the sewing room, but that didn’t last very long as I was drawn to making a few more Granny Square blocks. First I made a block using some Hope Valley scraps.
I decided that I wanted to be sure and include fabrics from all of the Denyse Schmidt collections I have…so I then made a Greenfield Hill block.
But my favorite of all ended up being the one that mixed several of her collections!
Since the blocks are the same size as my Roadshow blocks I decided to use the same setting.
This quilt will definitely have a scrappy binding. I’ve got a little stack of things ready to be quilted…but next on the list is more Farmer’s Wife blocks!
Hope you’re having a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

These are gorgeous. I love the mixed up one, too. My summer doesn't seem to have resulted in a slow down in work for me….at least not enough for my taste! But I am getting a little sewing in…

Super cute. :0) How will you quilt it?
Glad to hear you have settled into the summer routine.
I have too and wish it could last a lot longer than it will.
Have a great week. :0)

I can't keep up with you. I haven't even read your last post, at least i don't think I have. Anyway I LOVE LOVE LOVE your granny squares and your pictures so make me want to make some. I have other stuff to do first. You are such an inspiration – I know I've said this before but it is so true.
