Happy Monday! It’s been a little while since I did a Scraps Monday post, so I thought today would be a good day for that…especially since I’ve basically been sewing everything with scraps lately!
I’m still working on my “Go Four It” American Patchwork and Quilting quilt along blocks. I now have 142 of the 9 patch blocks finished with just 100 more blocks to go. They really do go together quickly now since I have all of the four-patches finished.
I also started another project with scraps…using left-overs and favorites from lots of Moda Candy packs. I have a bin with left over 2 ½″ squares and used those along with opening a few new packs!
I can’t wait to try some of the scrappy projects in these two books: Retro Mama Scrap Happy Sewing: 18 Easy Sewing Projects for DIY Gifts and Toys from Fabric Remnants
and Sweetly Stitched Handmades: 18 Projects to Sew for You and Your Loved Ones

Both of these books are full of fun scrappy projects. Just a few projects included in Scrap Happy Sewing are: pillow, potholder, quilt, sewing kit, pincushion, totebag, baby bib, jewelry wallet, business card holder, tote bag, and cross body bag patterns. Lots of these projects would be great for gifts.
Sweetly Stitched Handmades includes: baby and child’s projects (including an adorable bib), trivet, mug rug and coaster patterns, fabric boxes, pin cushion, embroidery, eyeglass case, simple tote, patchwork pouch and pillow pattern.

I was startled when I saw your "Go Four It" blocks because those are the virtually the exact fabrics I used in my quilt that was featured a couple of months agowith APQ that was called toned down or something like that. I have the top made, but it's in a (very long) line of to-be-quilted. Can't wait to see how yours looks when it's finished.
