Happy Wednesday! As soon as I finished my The Front Porch fabric sewing I started thinking of ways to use some of my scraps! Because I love scrappy projects!
I had quite a few 1 ½″ strips left over and started sewing them into strip sets
and then made these two patchwork pieces. I’m thinking of using them for a new Sew Together Bag…more on this idea soon, I hope!
I also have a lot of 2 ½″ strips and started a scrap quilt I’ve seen several people making recently. More on this soon, too!
And…because fall weather can’t come soon enough, I started working on some scrappy fall projects. First up is my Mini Pumpkins quilt for the September Minis and More parade on September first.
I’ve been using these plastic trays from Ikea to keep small projects sorted while I work on them! I think the trays were only $1.99. I have several, and they’ve been working well since they stack easily when not in use (and even when you have fabrics stored in them). You can see I have all of the stem sections ready to go for the rest of my pumpkins.
If only sewing with these fall fabrics would bring on the cooler temperatures!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love those scrappy pumpkins, so cute. I love the muted colors of orange. I also love the new fabric line.

I love your Front Porch scraps and your pumpkins too. I've already finished my pumpkin top and quilted it (yeah!) just the binding is still missing. Hope to stitch it on this weekend.

Such fun projects! It looks like you keep your scraps stored by collection rather than color – is this correct?

those colors are just delicious!! And I think I have some of them. 🙂 I hadn't started that mini yet, and hadn't planned on it, since it's my hubby's busy time of year, and I'm working with him alot, but I'm going to try to squeeze some sewing in: those are just too cute to pass up!! 🙂 Hugs, H And by the way, I hope fall sewing will bring you cooler temps too!!
