Hello, friends! Happy Saturday, and happy October! I can hardly believe we’ve turned another month on the calendar and that fall is officially here. Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 462: Lifestyle & More for Quilters with a roundup of inspiration I’ve found from around the internet this week. Keep reading for my favorites in self-care, recipes, quilting, sewing, reading, podcasts, and home.
This will hopefully be a slower weekend for me. I plan to stay home and get caught up on some household tasks and get organized for some early fall sewing. I have a couple of smaller projects to make along with another quilt in our Coastal Breeze fabrics. Will report on these soon!

Saturday Seven 462: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
I’ve used this Power Hour strategy before to get caught up–it’s always so helpful! And here is a helpful reminder that Slowing Down Takes Effort.
2. Recipes to Try
I haven’t tried these yet, but apparently these Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies are amazing! I also want to try this Sheet Pan Cheesy Sausage Tortellini from the same website. Finally, since it is offically soup season, I want to make this Cheesy Broccoli Chicken Soup asap!

3. Quilt + Sew
I’ll be sharing more Coastal Breeze quilts and projects soon, but I want to share that my friend Katie of Count Your Stitches Co has some fun designs to go with my patterns in her shop now. They are currently on sale for 20% off, too!
Also, tomorrow is the final day to get 20% off of my new quilt patterns. Find them here.

4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
I’ve been kind of lost, actually, without my Emma M. Lion books to read (the next volume doesn’t come out until February). But I am looking forward to this book arriving on Tuesday which is all about personal systems and organizing!

5. $5 for October: Whimsy Stars
Whimsy Stars is my $5 pattern for October. I thought this would be such a fun design for the month. While it is beautiful in our Poinsettia & Pear fabrics (in stores now), it would also be gorgeous as a fall quilt in our Birch & Willow collection. Or you could save it and make it with Midsummer when that ships at the end of the year.
6. All About Fall
Here is a great list of cozy movies for your fall viewing. And here is a good explanation of why fall seems like a second New Year. Finally, here is a fall cleaning checklist for those of you wanting to get a jump on getting ready for the busy season ahead.
