Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 456: Lifestyle & More for Quilters with a variety of inspiration from around the internet this week! I hope you’ll enjoy these topics and find some ideas for your weekend and the week ahead.
Here at home, we are looking at another really hot weekend with temps 110+. So, I’ll definitely be inside sewing and working on some organizing projects here. I can hardly wait for the temperatures to cool a bit so I can get outside more!

Saturday Seven 456: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
With fall just around the corner, I feel so motivated to get organized and change things up. Find lots of great ideas on this topic from Gretchen Rubin in “Why September is the Other January and How to Take Advantage of This Clean Slate.”
2. Recipes to Try
This salad looks so good! And it’s peach season, so it will be extra delicious! I also found a great roundup of 30+ Winning Side Salads from one of my favorite food bloggers!

3. Quilt + Sew
I had some free time this week in my sewing room and decided I needed a fun fall pillow to put out with my fall decorations in a couple of weeks (seriously, I might have to decorate sooner, but I’m trying to hold out until September 1st)! Anyway, after I pieced and quilted my new pillow I decided it needed to be a pattern asap–and wrote it up with a runner and wall hanging option as well. I’ll be sharing this in a video next week, but I’ve got the pattern available in the shop now. (PDF’s are ready to go,and paper patterns will ship in about a week).
4. Book + Podcast Recommendations
I loved this podcast with The Home Edit ladies. They have so many terrific ideas for home management in bite-sized steps. I also loved their list for organizing your pantry! Also, decluttering expert Dana K. White has a new book coming October 6th that looks good!
5. August Product Favorites
I absolutely love this shampoo. It’s pricey, but this size lasts such a long time. I also bought this in three colors–it’s comfortable and wears so nicely. Finally, I got this shirt in two colors and might just get another couple–again, super comfortable and looks beautiful on. Both of these tops are perfect for transitioning from late summer into early fall.
