Hello friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 428: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post with a roundup of inspiration I’ve found from around the internet this week. I hope you’ll enjoy these ideas and articles and that they will help get your weekend and the week ahead off to a terrific start.
I’ve got a little housework to do and then it’s going to be sew-time! I have some smaller works in progress lined up to work on this weekend. Hopefully, I’ll get some things ready to share next week, too!

Saturday Seven 428: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
I loved this post on having a “soft launch” to your year. And this article on Simple Self-Care Strategies is also a great place to find and update your own routines.
2. Recipes to Try
Here is a terrific roundup of snacks and appetizers for anytime or for the big game tomorrow. And this Crockpot Taco Soup is perfect for busy February weeknights.

3. Quilt + Sew
These scrappy string block potholders are one of my favorites–and there is still time to make some for Valentine’s Day using your red and pink scraps. And here is a PDF from Bev at Flamingo Toes with directions to make a pillow using any 12″ quilt block.
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
I haven’t listened to this Mel Robbins episode yet, but I will be listening this weekend since I love guest Laura Vanderkam’s ideas and perspectives on time. The Productive Woman Podcast on Time Blocking for Real Life: Flexible Systems for Busy Women is also a good one.
5. Favorites This Week
Here are some random things I ordered/re-ordered this week that are new and old favorites. These red and white straws! I love this shower moisturizing mask (it also comes in unscented–We have a very dry climate where I live, and it’s especially dry in winter). I just re-ordered this favorite laundry pre-treatment. I’ve been using this for several years and love it. Also, this travel toiletry bag is my new favorite–it holds everything I need for a short or longer trip.

6. Pumpkin Hollow Cross Stitch Pattern
My friend Katie from Count Your Stitches Designs has just finished up her Pumpkin Hollow Cross Stitch to coordinate with my Pumpkin Hollow quilt pattern! There are also the mini designs pictured in the above right photo that are a bonus included with the pattern. It’s available in paper and PDF now.
