Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing my Saturday Seven 353: Lifestyle & More for Quilters roundup of home + quilting inspiration I’ve found from around the internet this week. I hope you’ll enjoy these ideas and use them for your weekend plans or for the week ahead. I’m definitely feeling like fall sewing and am making good progress on a king-size fall quilt with our Bountiful Blooms fabrics. I’ll be sharing all about that quilt very soon, and I might even have it finished by the time it gets chilly in the evenings! I’m also making some smaller fall projects this weekend and will also share those very soon with you!

Saturday Seven 353: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
If you’re looking to declutter as a form of self-care, this post will help you get motivated to begin. This post on “The Stress We Needlessly Bring into Our Lives” was helpful this week. Finally, I loved this post on things to do to end the year–it’s a post meant for business owners but really applies to anyone in any stage of life.
2. Recipes to Try
We just got some fresh corn on the cob, and I can’t wait to use it to try these Summer Carnitas Tacos with Corn. I frequently make breakfast burritos but this week’s batch is going to follow this High-Protein Breakfast Wraps formula–I love the idea of also adding some Greek Yogurt!
3. Sew + Quilt
First, a little show and tell! I love my friend Nancy’s version of my Fireflies quilt in our Strawberry Lemonade collection (pictured above)! Next, run, don’t walk, and get yourself some of this 60″ wide patchwork cheater fabric. You’ll thank me later–it makes a wonderful backing, and you could even use it for a quilt top. I’ll share projects with my purchase of this soon. (This fabric also comes in a light version here). And finally, I love the new Moda Quilt Log printable for compiling stories about all of your quilts. Find all of the details here.
4. Book + Podcast Recommendations
I can’t believe it’s been ten years since Essentialism by Greg McKeown was published. I just ordered the 10th Anniversary edition because it has a wonderful new forward and 21-day challenge included.
5. Organizing
I’ve been organizing my sewing room and just have to share a couple of things. First, I ordered this storage basket (on sale now) and just received a new desktop file I found that is perfect for storing patterns. I also just got this set of ceramic utensil holders for my kitchen and realized they would also be terrific for storing sewing notions. Additionally, I love these pens–so sophisticated, and they write beautifully.
6. Star Bright 2 + Mini Star Bright Quilt Video
I posted about my new Star Bright 2 + Mini Star Bright quilt a couple of weeks ago, but we just got the video finished up this week. You can watch it above or on our YouTube channel now to see both quilts up close.

Love all the fabrics you’ve used. They are so bright and cheery. I just recently found your blog. And the quilt patterns are adorable.
