Remember my little stack of fabric from Saturday? Well by Saturday evening it had turned into this! The fabrics are all Prairie Paisley II by Minick & Simpson for Moda except for the outer border which is from the Minick & Simpson line, Bar Harbor. I’m not sure what the background fabric is…it was in my Minick & Simpson stash also.
The pattern is a Schnibbles pattern, Roadshow (you can find it here as a pdf download or paper pattern). I seriously love this pattern. Even before I fell in love with all of the Granny Square blocks on-line I had been wanting to make this pattern…and now I don’t know what took me so long to get going on it!
The pattern is quick to cut and fast to piece. The setting triangles are cut a little large, so you trim the block to the perfect size. I used one fabric for the sashing and another for the outer border, but the pattern gives you options to use charm squares for the sashing and border as well (I wanted to save my extra charm squares for another project). So this is a perfect charm square pattern or scrap buster pattern. My quilt finished at 33” x 33” (before quilting and binding), but there are also options to make it larger.
I’ll share this again after it has been quilted and bound…and by then I might have made another one…I’ve already thought of a few other fabrics I’d like to make it with!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love your Roadshow quilt! It's gorgeous and wonderful.
I'm with you, I sometimes wonder why it took me so long (57 quilts) to make this one. I had the block idea in my head for a little while but I kept putting it off until ??? I don't know what. But it is one of my favorites and I keep thinking I should make another quilt… maybe with a Layer Cake to make it lap-sized at least. 🙂
I think I have a Prairie Paisley LC… hmmm. Thank you for the inspiration. 😉

That is so pretty! I love the colours!
This may be a really silly question, but do you do with a 33" quilt? I always think that I need to make them at least a baby or lap size so that I will use it. Table topper? Wall hanging? Guess I just need to get more creative!!
