Rather than calling this the Quilt Market Review Part 2…I should probably call it “Make a Splash with Moda!” And it’s pretty photo heavy….just to warn you. By now you probably know I love Moda fabrics, and this post will highlight some of my favorite Moda designers’ quilts. There were actually more I loved, but some of the darker quilts didn’t photograph quite as well. First up is the adorable “Raincheck” quilt by Camille…think I have to make this one for sure! April Showers is one of my favorite market collections.
I also love “Puddle Jumping”…true story…I almost named my “Blossoms” quilt with the same name!!!
Camille also made mini versions of her three quilt designs…aren’t they adorable? Maybe if we all bug her enough she’ll publish the measurements! I had fun watching her make the miniature “Puddle Jumping” quilt as we were sewing together that day!
Bonnie’s side of the booth had adorable designs as well…I’m not sure how she does it all, either! I love “Walking in the Rain” above.
The “May Flowers” quilt in the basket is on my list for sure!
Gina Martin introduced Sewing Box with Moda fabrics. This is a collection I wish I had purchased at Sample Spree!
Sandy Klop featured Ducks in a Row which is a delightful collection which blends well with her most recent fabrics.
The always gracious and sweet Anne Sutton has a gorgeous red and white Christmas line called Winter Wonderland. I had to buy some for Christmas projects and gifts!
As always, Joanna was a delight to visit with, and her booth was a vision of Fig Tree goodness! I usually get to sew one or two quilts for her, and then when I see the others I have to make them too! This market was no exception to that rule…I need all of her patterns yesterday! Mirabelle, her new collection, is soft and dreamy and full of pastel goodness.
Yes, the more I look at these photos the more I know I need to make them all!
I can’t remember what this one is called…the pattern isn’t quite ready, so I’ll post about it when I have the pattern.
But this quilt is called “Carousel”…just love it!
And this is “Al Fresco.” I love the name and the design!
But the first one I’m going to work on is the “Mason Jars” design. I think I need to make these adorable dish towels for Christmas gifts.
Sweetwater’s new collection, Wishes is beautiful. My photos don’t do this line justice at all!
They have some darling quilts with their fabrics, too!
Okay…I’m so glad I snapped a photo of this Me and My Sister Designs quilt at SchoolHouse because my pictures of their booth didn’t turn out so well. I LOVE this pattern. It’s regular piecing, and I can’t wait to make it…because I’m not a huge paper piecing fan, and this design is a favorite! The pattern is called “Twinkle Twinkle,” and their new collection is called Hubba Hubba.
I didn’t get good pictures of Kate Spain’s booth either…and it was so adorable, too! But luckily my SchoolHouse picture came to the rescue again! I love Kate’s Daydream quilt and her awesome inspirational message!
The lovely Edyta Sitar debuted Jellybean and brought many stunning quilts…I can’t believe this is the only photo I took that turned out–you’ll have to look up the rest of her quilts because they are all amazing.
The new collection by Minick and Simpson is beautiful as well. All of their quilts were hand quilted this time around, and I’m now more determined than ever to try some big-stitch hand quilting myself. Again, they had many other gorgeous quilts you need to see!
Vanessa Christenson’s stunning sewing machine quilt really caught my eye. I love her new collection, Color Me Happy. Her collection has laminated prints, too…and they were so soft! (Side note: Vanessa gave me some photo tips on taking “selfies” with my phone. Rachel of PS I Quilt also gave me some great photo tips).
I’m always captured by the striking beauty of the Zen Chic booth. Brigitte has done it again with a lovely soothing palette of hues, prints and patterns.
Pat Sloan also had a lovely booth. I love her basket quilt in the top right corner.
Finally…I can’t say enough about how much I love Lisa Bongean’s recent Floral Gatherings collection. I used my Moda candy squares of this fabric on a small quilt and can’t wait to make something larger with this line. It’s classic and so happy all at the same time!
Also, I know I’m missing Kansas Troubles, Barb and Alma’s fabric…and a couple of others. One of these markets I’m going to get photos of everything.
Thanks so much for the good wishes…and thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for all the great pictures of quilt market. Love all the Moda family of fabrics too. Looks like lots of new fabrics and patterns will be coming out for spring. I'll just add them to the list of ones I want to do.

Wow — just like your quilting, I don't know how you can possibly cover them all — there are too many designers — and that's just the moda booth! I continue to be amazed at how the quilting industry can support them all — I think we're all hoarding a lot of fabric!
Oh — and good for you for saying NO. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your stuff! 😉

Beautiful quilts and a wonderful market, so nice to see so many lovely fabrics and quilts. You've helped me make up my mind to go to the next quilt show here in the UK, there is one at the end of November so I just hope I come home without spending too much. Thanks for a great post.

Thank you so much for the eye candy. I can't wait to see more pictures of the coming out lines so that I can decide which I just have to have myself.

Moda are my favourite fabrics too. And I'm not much of a paper piecing fan either! I look forward too many of these fabrics being released. I think April Showers is my favourite, but I reserve the right to change my mind!
