Hello and happy Wednesday! I had a bit of happy mail yesterday…my pineapple quilt returned home from the quilter! Of course I had to take some pictures right away!
Although I’m not a fan of our excessive heat, I am a fan of the lazy days of
summer, and this quilt has me thinking I’m pretty happy it’s just around the corner! I love the diagonal plaid quilting that my friend Kaitlyn of Knot and Thread Design used on this…it really adds a lot of texture to the pineapples!
And I used this Kate Spain Horizons print I’ve been saving for a few years for the back of a summer quilt. It’s a happy print that will look great with the green binding I’m going to put on this.
This is one of my favorite blocks…sigh…
I’m really glad I did scrappy low-volume backgrounds as well…they add much more than a simple white or cream background might have added to the overall effect. I’m finishing a couple more market projects and then will get to binding this–will share one more photo then!
You can read more about this quilt here ( with a link to the free PDF pattern included at the end of the post).
Finally…all patterns and books (PDF and paper) are on sale for 25% off in my Etsy shop through Saturday with the code pineapple!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
