Hello! Today is my turn on Pat Sloan’s fabulous tour celebrating her new book, Teach Me to Machine Quilt. I’ve had the chance to look over this fabulous book over the past week and can’t say enough good about it!
Pat’s book is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to learn machine
quilting and is also a terrific guide for those wanting to better their machine quilting skills. Pat explains every aspect of machine quilting beginning with the very basics and offers lots of tips and pointers along the way.
There are very practical, easy-to-follow step-by-step photos for every aspect of machine quilting (like the photo below from the section on spray basting)…and then there are the gorgeous projects!
One of my favorites was this Mini Charm Star wall hanging…I need to make this as soon as possible!
I also love her Checkerboard Hearts quilt…I made a couple of small projects with this fabric last winter, and seeing Pat’s quilt made me want to make this exact quilt with my left overs!
Now for the fun part: Martingale (Pat’s publisher) is giving away 5 copies of her new book (e-book copies for international winners): be sure to enter the giveaway by heading over to Pat’s site here.

This is one book I need to check out – I always dread when I get to the quilting part of my quilt. What beautiful projects!

I bought the Kindle version of Pat's book yesterday and spent today reading it. I like that she created great projects to practice on.
